Beijing & Beach

Still very distinct from mainland China, no trip to China is complete without a stay in Hong Kong. Aside from having one of the world’s most impressive skylines; Hong Kong also offers fine food, endless world-class shopping from market stalls to designer shopping malls and tranquil islands dotted with timeless temples and fishing harbours. It is then off to Hainan Island with its beautiful sandy beaches, turquoise sea and tropical climate, also known as the ‘Hawaii of China’.

Days 1-2 : UK – Hong Kong

Fly overnight to the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong.

Day 3 : Hong Kong

Enjoy a half day island tour visiting Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Aberdeen Fishing Village and an optional sampan ride (paid locally). (B)

Day 4 : Hong Kong

Enjoy the day at leisure to further explore Hong Kong. Take a tram ride up to the Peak, passing buildings at a 45° angle or visit Aberdeen fishing village with its spectacular floating restaurants. You can also take the Star Ferry Hong Kong Island, hydrofoil to Macau (complete with Las Vegas super casinos) or ferry to Lantau Island. If you’re seeking fun, visit Ocean Park, the regions largest oceanarium or Disneyland. Hong Kong is renowned for is shopping and there are numerous street markets to choose from: Ladies’, Temple Street Night, Jade, Flower, Goldfish and the Apliu Street flea market as well as up-market shopping malls. For those after a culinary experience, you can choose from fine dining to street-side vendors; however, no visit to Hong Kong is complete without sampling the local speciality, dim sum. (B)

Day 5 : Hong Kong – Sanya

Fly to Sanya and transfer to your hotel at Yalong Bay. (B)

Days 6-9 : Sanya

Spend the next four days at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, stroll along the beautiful beach or further explore Hainan Island. Visit the Tropical Wildlife Park which is home to the ‘Macaque’ monkey, experience the many water sports on offer such as snorkelling, water-skiing and para-sailing or play a round of golf. All activities are optional and paid locally. (B)

Day 10 : Sanya – UK

Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same day or following morning depending on flight schedule. (B)
