From May to October 2010, the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai will be home to what promises to be the greatest International World Expo ever held. Shanghai will be turned into a centre of exhibitions, events and forums along the theme ‘Better City, Better Life’ and it hopes to build a powerful and lasting example of sustainable and harmonious urban living. This tour allows you to combine the sights of Shanghai with tickets to the Expo.
Day 1 : Arrive Shanghai
Transfer from Shanghai Airport to your hotel.
Day 2 : Shanghai
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. Begin with a stroll through the beautiful Yu Gardens and the Old Town (Yuan Bazaar) where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handicrafts, Chinese tea and a variety of tantalising snacks. You will also see the superb antiquities and fine arts at the Shanghai Museum, wander the surrounds of neighbouring People's Square and explore the historical riverfront area known as the Bund. (B,L)
Day 3 : Shanghai Expo
Transfer from your hotel to the Shanghai Expo. Your entrance ticket is included and your exploration of the Expo site will be at your own leisure. Later, transfer back to your hotel. (B)
Day 4 : Depart Shanghai
Transfer from your hotel to Shanghai Airport for your onward flight. (B)
