Discover Shanghai and the beauty of Suzhou & Hangzhou

Combine the excitement of Shanghai’s vitality and busyness with the gentler pace of the smaller towns of Suzhou and Hangzhou which live up to their name of "Paradise on earth”. Visit the finest oriental gardens in Suzhou and cruise the Grand Canal before travelling to Hangzhou. Learn about the workings of a silk factory, visit an ancient temple and explore a rural tea plantation for a taste of the real China.
Days 1-2 : UK – Shanghai
Fly overnight to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, also known as the ‘Paris of the East’ and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3 : Shanghai
Sightseeing today includes a stroll through the beautiful Yu Gardens and the Old Town as well as a visit to the Shanghai Museum. Also, walk along the famous Bund with its colonial architecture. (B,L)
Day 4 : Shanghai – Suzhou
Travel to the charming garden city of Suzhou, also known as the ‘Venice of the East’ and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 5 : Suzhou
Visit two of the finest oriental gardens: the Humble Administrator’s Garden and the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Also enjoy a cruise on the ancient Grand Canal. (B,L)
Day 6 : Suzhou – Hangzhou
Travel to beautiful Hangzhou, one of China’s former imperial capitals. Visit the local markets and experience an oriental tea-tasting. (B,L)
Day 7 : Hangzhou
Sightseeing today includes a visit to the Temple of Inspired Seclusion and the Six Harmonies Pagoda before a relaxing cruise on the tranquil West Lake. (B,L)
Day 8 : Hangzhou – Shanghai
Travel to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 9 : Shanghai – UK
Transfer to Shanghai Airport and fly to the UK, arriving home later the same day filled with many happy memories. (B)
