Board the Victoria cruise ship to begin your eight-day odyssey down the legendary Yangtze River and admire some of the most spectacular scenery that China has to offer as you cruise onboard the five-star Victoria Prince cruise ship. The mighty Yangtze River has nourished the Chinese heartland for centuries and on this tour you’ll marvel at the peaks bursting from the river’s surface as you lazily cruise past historic villages and see the force of China’s development at the Three Gorges.
Day 1 : Arrive Shanghai
You will be met at Shanghai Airport and transferred to your hotel. (L)
Day 2 : Shanghai – Yangtze River Cruise
Transfer to Wusong (approx 1 hour) to board the five-star Victoria cruise ship and spend eight nights on-board sailing to Chongqing. (B,L) N.B. During this time the tour may be subject to change at the discretion of the cruise company.
Day 3 : Nanjing
Enjoy a full day shore excursion to Nanjing and visit the Dr Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum and a Qing Dynasty Bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple.(B,L,D)
Day 4 : Mt Huang
Enjoy a full day shore excursion to the beautiful Mt Huang, also known as Yellow Mountain. Take a cable car to the summit to enjoy the spectacular views of the oddly shaped peaks, rock formations, thousand year old pine trees and mysteriously ever-changing mist. Return to the cruise ship in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 5 : Wuhan
Cruise to Wuhan and take a shore excursion to the Hubei Provincial Museum. Return to the cruise ship in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 6 : Wuhan – Yichang
Spend the day on-board as we continue cruising upstream towards Yichang. (B,L,D)
Days 7-8 : Yangtze River Cruise
Early morning arrival at Yichang. Sail through the Gezhou Dam. Later visit the Three Gorges Dam Project site. The next day, sail through the Wu Gorge and take an excursion to the Danning River Small Gorges. (B,L,D)
Day 9 : Fengdu
Travel to the ‘Ghost City’ of Fengdu and explore the captivating temples and statues. Return to the cruise ship in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 10 : Depart Chongqing
After breakfast, disembark from your cruise vessel and transfer to Chongqing Airport for your onward flight. (B)
