Zhangjiajie is a natural gallery of botanical gardens and spectacular rock formations. Zhangjiajie was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990. It's scenery consists of endless waterfalls, caves, rivers and approximately 243 imposing peaks which are surrounded by over 3000 karst up-thrusts, a combinations unseen elsewhere.
Day 1 : Changsha – Shaoshan
Transfer from your hotel in Changsha to your hotel in Shaoshan.
Day 2 : Shaoshan – Changsha
Visit Chairman Mao’s childhood family residence and his Museum and Dripping Water Cave; where he lived for 11 days during the famous Cultural Revolution. Return to Changsha later in the day. (B)
Days 3-4 : Changsha – Zhangjiajie
Board the train to the Zhangjiajie scenic area. During the next two days, you will embark on a photographer’s dream journey. Enjoy breathtaking scenery exploring the UNESCO listed Zhangjiajie area, which offers a mix of spectacular limestone formations, subtropical forests, waterfalls, mountain ranges and majestic valleys. You will stay in the area for two nights. (B)
Day 5 : Depart Zhangjiajie
Transfer to Zhangjiajie Airport for your onward flight. (B)
