Golden Triangle

India's famous Golden Triangle comprises the three most visited cities in the country - Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Dubbed "golden" for the extraordinary amount of culture and history on offer in each of the three cities, a first time visit to India simply must include the Golden Triangle.

Days 1-2 : UK – Delhi

Fly overnight to Delhi, India’s capital city.

Day 3 : Delhi

Sightseeing today begins with a visit to the Red Fort and a walk through Chandni Chowk bazaar to Jama Masjid, which is India’s largest mosque. You will also have a brief photo stop at India Gate and visit Narayan Hindu Temple, Humayun’s Tomb and enjoy some shopping at Connaught Markets. (B,L)

Day 4 : Delhi – Agra

Travel to Agra, visiting Sikandra en-route to see the marble tomb of Akbar which is an important Mughal architectural masterpiece built in 1605. (B,L)

Day 5 : Agra

Rise early to view the impressive Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunrise. Also visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO world heritage listed site. (B,L)

Day 6 : Agra – Jaipur

Travel to Jaipur, stopping at the ‘ghost city’ of Fatehpur Sikri built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar en-route. (B,L)

Day 7 : Jaipur

Begin with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) before continuing to Amer Fort. Also visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar Observatory and enjoy some shopping at the local bazaar in Choti Choper. (B,L)

Day 8 : Jaipur – Delhi

Travel to Delhi and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 9 : Delhi – UK

Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same day. (B)
