See Vietnam in style. Staying at deluxe hotels, some with historic origins and built at the turn of the 20th century. This connoisseur tour re-lives the ambiance of a time long gone and the slower paced itinerary allows plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere of this ever-changing country.
Days 1-2 : UK – Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon.
Day 3 : Saigon
Sightseeing today includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. We also visit Cholon (Chinatown), Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market for some shopping.
Day 4 : Mekong Delta – Saigon
Travel to Ben Tre and enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River to explore the delta, also known as the ‘Rice Basket’ of Vietnam. The area’s rich and fertile lands are perfect for growing rice, coconuts, vegetables and tropical fruits. Enjoy the scenery as we travel through palm-lined canals on wooden sampans passing stilt houses and fish farms. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda before returning to Saigon.
Day 5 : Tay Ninh & Cu Chi – Saigon
We travel to Tay Ninh and attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, which is one of the most striking structures in Asia. We also explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon.
Day 6 : Saigon – Nha Trang
Fly to the coastal town of Nha Trang and visit the ruins of Po Nagar Cham Towers.
Day 7 : Nha Trang
Enjoy a cruise around the nearby islands, stopping at Mun Island for a swim.
Day 8 : Nha Trang – Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains en-route.
Day 9 : Hoi An
Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An and visit one of the oldest homes, which is still occupied by the descendants of the merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. The afternoon is at leisure to visit the renowned tailors, stroll through the local markets or relax in a riverside café.
Day 10 : Hoi An – Hue
Travel to Hue, the former historic capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty and enjoy a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel, the centrepiece of the royal empire which was extensively damaged during the Vietnam War.
Day 11 : Hue
Visit the UNESCO world heritage listed Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. We also visit Thien Mu Pagoda and take a boat trip on the Perfume River.
Day 12 : Hue – Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi, a charming and richly historic city of lakes, parks and shaded boulevards, also known as the ‘Paris of the Orient’. In the evening, see a performance of the famous Water Puppets.
Day 13 : Hanoi
Sightseeing today includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where we visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter.
Days 14-15 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise
Travel to the UNESCO world heritage listed site of Halong Bay which is Vietnam’s most iconic attraction, also known as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Vietnam. Enjoy seafood meals whilst cruising between the nearby islands and stay overnight on-board the traditionally designed junk boat. Return to Hanoi the following day.
Days 16-17 : Hanoi – UK
Fly overnight to the UK, arriving home the following day.

Days 1-2: UK – Phnom Penh
Fly overnight to Phnom Penh via Hong Kong and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3: Phnom Penh
Visit the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and the National Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes; both of which are very moving experiences. We later enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River. (B,L)
Day 4: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and visit Angkor Thom, The Bayon, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat. (B,L)
Day 5: Siem Reap
Enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap to visit the floating villages (Aug-Feb) or visit the National Silk Centre in Puok (Mar-Jul). In the afternoon, visit Bantey Srei and Bantey Samre. (B,L)
Day 6: Siem Reap – Saigon
Tour the small circuit including the Kravan, Sras Srang and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, which has been swallowed by the jungle. Fly to Saigon (B,D)

Travel by ferry across the Victoria Harbour to Silvermine Bay and visit beautiful Cheung Sha beach. This is followed by Tai O Fishing Village, where many homes are built on stilts. Then travel to Ngong Ping Plateau to see the Giant Buddha and explore Po Lin Monastery where you will enjoy a vegetarian lunch. Later, visit the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village before ending the day with a spectacular ride aboard the Skyrail cable car.
