For those with limited time, discover three of Indochina’s most remarkable countries. In Vietnam, experience the bustle of Saigon, relax in Hoi An, be amazed by the charm of Hanoi and cruise Halong Bay. See the waterfall and caves in Luang Prabang before ending the tour in Siem Reap to see the magnificent temples of Angkor.

Days 1-2 : UK – Saigon

Fly overnight to Saigon.

Day 3 : Saigon

Sightseeing today includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. We also visit Cholon (Chinatown), Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market for some shopping.

Day 4 : Tay Ninh & Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon

We travel to Tay Ninh and attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, which is one of the most striking structures in Asia. We also explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon.

Day 5 : Saigon – Hoi An

Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains en-route.

Day 6 : Hoi An

Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An and visit one of the oldest homes, which is still occupied by the descendants of the merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. The afternoon is at leisure to visit the renowned tailors, stroll through the local markets or relax in a riverside café.

Day 7 : Hoi An – Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi, a charming and richly historic city of lakes, parks and shaded boulevards, also known as the ‘Paris of the Orient’. Sightseeing today includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where we visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter. In the evening, see a performance of the famous Water Puppets.

Days 8-9 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise

Travel to the UNESCO world heritage listed site of Halong Bay which is Vietnam’s most iconic attraction, also known as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Vietnam. Enjoy seafood meals whilst cruising between the nearby islands and stay overnight on-board the traditionally designed junk boat. Return to Hanoi the following day.

Day 10 : Hanoi – Luang Prabang

Fly to Luang Prabang. Sightseeing by tuk-tuk includes a visit to Wat Visoune, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sene and the National Museum. We also climb Phousy Hill for breathtaking views over the city.

Day 11 : Luang Prabang

We rise early to watch a ‘Takbat’ ceremony. We also enjoy a cruise along the Mekong River to see the Pak Ou Caves. Return to Luang Prabang and visit Ban Xang Khong Village en-route.

Day 12 : Luang Prabang

Visit the National Museum before continuing to Kuang Si Waterfalls and visit an H’mong village en-route. Return to Luang Prabang stopping at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre along the way.

Day 13 : Luang Prabang – Siem Reap

Fly to Siem Reap and visit the temples of Srah Srang and East Mebon. We also climb to the summit of Pre Rup Temple at sunset for a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.

Day 14 : Siem Reap

Drive to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. We start at the Southern Gate and continue to The Bayon, which is beautifully carved with numerous striking faces. We also visit the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat.

Day 15 : Siem Reap

High Water Season (Aug to Feb) Cruise on Tonle Sap and then continue to Siem Reap to visit the temples of Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som and Ta Phrom. Low Water Season (Mar to Jul) Travel to Siem Reap and visit the temples of Banteay Srei, Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som and Ta Phrom.

Day 16 : Siem Reap

Enjoy the day at leisure.

Days 17-18 : Siem Reap – UK

Fly overnight to the UK via Hanoi, arriving home the following day.
