Experience Laos's two most stunning cities in one trip. The World Heritage site of Luang Prabang is a truly unique place that will not be forgotten in a hurry. Eat World class cuisine while watching the sunset over the Mekong River, explore the numerous temples, or simply soak up the atmosphere of the busy market. Vientiane is equally as memorable, and also sits alongside the banks of the giant Mekong which separates Laos and Thailand. Visit the many museums and temples that make up this interesting capital city.
Day 1 : Arrive Luang Prabang
Transfer to your hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 2 : Luang Prabang
Visit Wat Xieng Thong, followed by a drive to Kuangsi Waterfall to visit the colourful Hmong and Khmou hill tribe villages. (B)
Day 3 : Luang Prabang – Pak Ou
Head to the morning market and take part in the Dawn Alms ritual with the local monks. After breakfast at a local bakery, take a boat trip along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou caves. Enjoy a Ramayana performance tonight. (B,L,D)
Day 4 : Luang Prabang – Vientiane
Visit the Royal Palace museum and Wat Mai before flying to Vientiane. This afternoon visit the Patouxay Victory Monument, Wat Sisaket, Wat Phra Keo and That Luang, the most revered shrine in Laos. (B)
Day 5 : Depart Vientiane
Transfer to Vientiane Airport for your onward flight. (B)
