Explore northern Thailand in the country known as the 'Land of Smiles'

Combine the bustle of Bangkok, the history of Kanchanaburi and the picturesque Golden Triangle region with fascinating culture, beautiful temples and ancient temples that Thailand is renowned for. Experience life with a local family, enjoy an elephant ride at the Chiang Dai Elephant camp and cruise the Mae Ping River on a bamboo boat.
Days 1-2 : UK – Bangkok
Fly overnight to Bangkok.
Day 3 : Bangkok
Sightseeing today includes a visit to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace with its colourful temples and golden stupas. We also enjoy a ride in a long tail boat along the Chao Phraya River to Pak Klong Talaat Flower market followed by a stroll through Chinatown.
Day 4 : Bangkok – Kanchanaburi
Visit the Damneon Saduak floating Market and the Railway Track Market before travelling to Wang Po to take a train ride on the ‘Death Railway’ through the Kwai Gorge to Kanchanaburi. We stop at the ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’ before visiting the Allies Cemetery and War Museum.
Day 5 : Kanchanaburi
We drive to the Hellfire Pass before choosing to either trek through the pass or visit the nearby Saiyoke Noi Waterfall. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 6 : Kanchanaburi – Sukhothai
We head north to Uthai Thani and enjoy a cruise on the Sakaekrang River on a traditional rice barge. After lunch on-board, we travel by road to Phitsanuloke to visit Wat Yai before continuing to Sukhothai, the first capital of Siam.
Day 7 : Sukhothai – Lampang
Take a tram ride around the Sukhothai Ruins, an archaeological Site of the ancient city. We then travel to Lampang and enjoy a horse-cart ride around the old town. We also visit Phra That Lampang Luang and Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao as well as a local market.
Day 8 : Lampang – Chiang Rai
We head for the ‘Golden Triangle’, the point where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. We enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit Done Sao Island where we stroll through the local market before continuing by road to Chiang Rai.
Day 9 : Chiang Rai
Travel to Mae Salong Mountain, which is renowned for its hill tribes and tea plantations. We explore the tribal village of Ban Lorcha, which is home to the Akha tribe known for their artistry. We return to Chiang Rai and visit the night bazaar.
Day 10 : Chiang Rai – Mae Kampong
Visit the exquisite White Temple and then head to the local market before continuing to the village of Mae Kampong for an overnight stay with a local family where we assist our hosts in preparing the evening meal.
Day 11 : Mae Kampong - Chiang Mai
We rise early and take part in the alms ritual. We then head to Chiang Mai where we visit the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh. We also visit a handicraft village.
Day 12 : Chiang Mai
Visit the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp and experience an elephant ride and gentle bamboo river rafting along the Mae Ping River. After dinner, we head to the colourful night market.
Day 13 : Chiang Mai
Take part in a cooking class to learn the secrets of traditional Thai cooking. After lunch, visit Baan Kingkaew Orphanage and Wat Dao Suthep in time for sunset. In the evening, enjoy a performance of ancient dances and songs from Northern Thailand.
Days 14-15 : Chiang Mai – UK
Fly overnight to the UK via Bangkok, arriving home the following day.

Cha'am Beach Stay - 4D/3N
Day 1: Arrive Cha'am
Transfer from Bangkok to the Springfield Resort in Cha'am (approx 3 hours). This delightful resort is set on a quiet stretch of Cha’am’s unspoiled beach, about 12 miles from Hua Hin. Hotel facilities include an International restaurant, Thai restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis, fitness room with sauna, steam room and massage and a games room. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Springfield Village, Hua Hin and Cha’am night markets. All rooms feature air-conditioning, satellite TV and a mini fridge.
Days 2-3: Cha'am
Enjoy the next three days at leisure to relax on the beach, play a round of golf at one of the six championship golf courses nearby or take optional excursions to the temples, waterfalls, caves and the Marine Park. (B)
Day 4: Depart Cha'am
Transfer to Bangkok Airport. (B).

Phuket Beach Stay - 4D/3N
Day 1: Arrive Phuket
You will be met at Phuket Airport and transferred to your hotel. Situated in southern Thailand on the coast of the Andaman Sea, Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is connected to the mainland via a bridge. Phuket is known for its beautiful temples and Buddhist shrines, colonial mansions, sandy white beaches, championship golf courses, excellent water sports and vibrant nightlife. It is also a perfect base for a day trip to the islands of Krabi and Phi Phi.
Days 2-3: Phuket
Enjoy the next two days at leisure. Explore the beautiful island, take an optional excursion or enjoy the hotel’s facilities. (B)
Day 4: Depart Phuket
