Thailand & Laos Adventure

This is the ideal tour for those who wish to combine the wonders of Thailand in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang with the land-locked treasures of Laos. Laos is a peaceful country dominated by incredible mountains, stunning scenery and thundering waterfalls, whereas Thailand is known for its temples, palaces and floating markets.

Days 1-2 : UK – Bangkok

Fly overnight to Bangkok.

Day 3 : Bangkok

Sightseeing today includes a visit to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace with its colourful temples and golden stupas. We also enjoy a ride in a long tail boat along the Chao Phraya River to Pak Klong Talaat Flower market followed by a stroll through Chinatown.

Day 4 : Bangkok - Chiang Mai

Visit the Damneon Saduak Floating Market and the Railway Track Market. Later, board the overnight train to Chiang Mai.

Day 5 : Chiang Mai

Arrive in Chiang Mai and visit Baan Kingkaew orphanage and a handicraft village. We also visit Wat Dai Suthep in time for sunset. In the evening, enjoy a performance of ancient dances and songs from Northern Thailand and visit the colourful night market.

Day 6 : Chiang Mai – Hilltribe Lodge

We travel to a small village, home to the H’mong hilltribe where we stay overnight and enjoy a BBQ dinner and a cultural show.

Day 7 : Hilltribe Lodge – Chiang Rai

Visit the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp and experience an elephant ride and gentle bamboo river rafting along the Mae Ping River. Transfer to Thaton and board a long tail boat on Mae Kok River to Baan Pha Tai, where we continue by road to Chiang Rai.

Day 8 : Chiang Rai – Pakbeng

We cross the border at Huay Xia into Laos and cruise to Pakbeng, visiting some local minority villages en-route.

Day 9 : Pakbeng – Luang Prabang

Travel downstream on the Mekong River visiting Ban Khok Ek, a traditional Laotian village en-route. After lunch, we learn about the process of making ‘rice alcohol’ and visit the Pak Ou Caves before continuing to Luang Prabang.

Day 10 : Luang Prabang

Sightseeing by tuk-tuk includes a visit to Wat Visoune, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sene and the National Museum. We also climb Phousy Hill for breathtaking views over the city.

Day 11 : Luang Prabang

We rise early to watch a ‘Takbat’ ceremony and visit the National Museum. We then travel to the Kuang Si Waterfalls and visit an H’mong village en-route. Return to Luang Prabang stopping at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre along the way.

Day 12 : Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng

We travel to Vang Vieng and visit Phoukhoun, Ban Houn Xay and Kasi en-route.

Day 13 : Vang Vieng – Vientiane

We visit Tham Chang Caves before continuing to Vientiane.

Day 14 : Vientiane

Sightseeing today includes a visit to Thongkhankham Market, Wat Si Saket, Wat Phra Keo, Pha That Luang Stupa, Patuxai Victory Monument and Buddha Park. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Lao dinner followed by a dance show.

Days 15-16 : Vientiane – UK

Fly overnight to the UK via Bangkok, arriving home the following day.

Cha'am Beach Stay - 4D/3N

Cha'am Beach Stay

    Day 1: Arrive Cha'am
    Transfer from Bangkok to the Springfield Resort in Cha'am (approx 3 hours). This delightful resort is set on a quiet stretch of Cha’am’s unspoiled beach, about 12 miles from Hua Hin. Hotel facilities include an International restaurant, Thai restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis, fitness room with sauna, steam room and massage and a games room. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Springfield Village, Hua Hin and Cha’am night markets. All rooms feature air-conditioning, satellite TV and a mini fridge.

    Days 2-3: Cha'am
    Enjoy the next three days at leisure to relax on the beach, play a round of golf at one of the six championship golf courses nearby or take optional excursions to the temples, waterfalls, caves and the Marine Park. (B)

Phuket Beach Stay - 4D/3N

Phuket Beach

    Day 1: Arrive Phuket
    You will be met at Phuket Airport and transferred to your hotel. Situated in southern Thailand on the coast of the Andaman Sea, Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is connected to the mainland via a bridge. Phuket is known for its beautiful temples and Buddhist shrines, colonial mansions, sandy white beaches, championship golf courses, excellent water sports and vibrant nightlife. It is also a perfect base for a day trip to the islands of Krabi and Phi Phi.

    Days 2-3: Phuket
    Enjoy the next two days at leisure. Explore the beautiful island, take an optional excursion or enjoy the hotel’s facilities. (B)

    Day 4: Depart Phuket
