A quick glimpse at the best on offer in Vietnam

Discover the best of Vietnam from the Mekong Delta in the south to Halong Bay in the north and relax in the charming UNESCO listed town of Hoi An. Combined with a visit to the cities of Saigon, Hue and Hanoi, this is an excellent action-packed two week tour.
Days 1-2 : UK – Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon.
Day 3 : Saigon
Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace the War Remnants Museum, Cholon (Chinatown), Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market. (B,L)
Day 4 : Mekong Delta – Saigon
Enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River before returning to Saigon. (B,L)
Day 5 : Tay Ninh & Cu Chi – Saigon
Attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple and then explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon. (B,L)
Day 6 : Saigon – Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains en-route. (B,L).
Day 7 : Hoi An
Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An and visit a merchant’s home, the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. (B)
Day 8 : Hoi An – Hue
Travel to Hue and enjoy a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel, visit Thien Mu Pagoda and take a boat trip on the Perfume River. (B,L)
Day 9 : Hue – Hanoi
Visit the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang before flying to Hanoi. (B)
Day 10 : Hanoi
Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter. Also see a performance of the water puppets. (B,L,D)
Day 11 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise
Travel to Halong Bay, the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Vietnam and enjoy a cruise between the nearby islands before returning to Hanoi. (B,L)
Days 12-13 : Hanoi – UK
Fly overnight to the UK, arriving home the following day. (B)

Day 3: Phnom Penh
Visit the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and the National Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes; both of which are very moving experiences. We later enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River. (B,L)
Day 4: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and visit Angkor Thom, The Bayon, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat. (B,L)
Day 5: Siem Reap
Enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap to visit the floating villages (Aug-Feb) or visit the National Silk Centre in Puok (Mar-Jul). In the afternoon, visit Bantey Srei and Bantey Samre. (B,L)
Day 6: Siem Reap – Saigon
Tour the small circuit including the Kravan, Sras Srang and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, which has been swallowed by the jungle. Fly to Saigon (B,D)

Then travel to Ngong Ping Plateau to see the Giant Buddha and explore Po Lin Monastery where you will enjoy a vegetarian lunch. Later, visit the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village before ending the day with a spectacular ride aboard the Skyrail cable car.
