Our best value tour to Vietnam travels overland for much of its route to allow full enjoyment of the delightful countryside. Along the way, visit the famous sights of this fascinating land as well as many of its hidden treasures.
Days 1-2 : UK – Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon via Hong Kong and transfer to the hotel before our welcome dinner of local cuisine.
Day 3 : Saigon
Saigon is Vietnam’s largest and busiest city. Sightseeing today includes a visit to the former Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the imposing Notre Dame Cathedral and the French-style Post Office. We also visit Cholon (the Chinatown of Saigon), the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market for some shopping. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Days 4-5 : Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon
Travel by coach to My Tho and enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River to explore the delta, also known as the ‘Rice Basket’ of Vietnam. Visit local floating markets, villages, home industries and plantations. Travel to Can Tho city for an overnight stay. The next day, continue exploring the Mekong Delta before returning to Saigon.
Day 6 : Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh day tour
Visit the famous tunnel system at Cu Chi and then attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, which is one of the most striking structures in Asia.
Days 7-8 : Saigon – Dalat
Travel by coach to the cooler climate of the Central Highlands and the beautiful Hill Station of Dalat. It is often referred to as the ‘City of Eternal Spring’ with its lush green forests and waterfalls. The next day we visit Lat Village before travelling to the Lake of Sighs, where legend tells of a distraught girl who threw herself into the lake when she thought she had lost her love.
Day 9 : Dalat – Nha Trang
Travel by coach to Nha Trang where we will cruise around the nearby islands. Visit the Tri Nguyen Aquarium at Mieu Island, Tam Island and a fishing village.
Day 10 : Nha Trang – Qui Nhon
Travel to Qui Nhon visiting Cham Po Nagar Tower en-route. These ruins date from the Hindu Kingdom of Champa which ruled from the 2nd to 15th Centuries.
Day 11 : Qui Nhon – Hoi An
Stop off at Son My to pay homage to the victims of the My Lai massacre before continuing to the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An.
Days 12-13 : Hoi An
Our walking tour takes us through the narrow streets of the historic centre of Hoi An where we visit one of the oldest homes, which is still occupied by the descendants of the merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An market and a local Chinese Pagoda. This afternoon and the following day are at leisure.
Day 14 : Hoi An – Hue
Visit Marble Mountains and China Beach before driving over the Hai Van Pass, which provides a spectacular panoramic view of the central coastline. Continue to Hue, the former historic capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty and enjoy a cyclo tour to the Imperial Citadel, the centrepiece of the royal empire which was extensively damaged during the Vietnam War. We also enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda. This evening, take part in a cooking class focusing on select local dishes designed for the Royal Courts.
Day 15 : Hue – Hanoi
Visit the Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Royal Tombs this morning. Fly to Hanoi, a charming and richly historic city of lakes, parks and shaded boulevards, also known as the ‘Paris of the Orient’. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. In the evening enjoy a performance of the famous Water Puppets.
Day 16 : Hanoi
Sightseeing today includes visits to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. We also enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter and a drive around Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 17 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise
Drive to Halong Bay, the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Vietnam and commence cruising onboard the traditionally designed junk boat. Relax and enjoy a seafood meal onboard whilst cruising between the nearby islands. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon, driving through the striking rural countryside of the Red River Delta.
Day 18 : Hanoi – UK
Transfer to Hanoi Airport and fly to the UK via Hong Kong, arriving home later the same day filled with many happy memories.

Days 1-2: UK – Phnom Penh
Fly overnight to Phnom Penh via Hong Kong and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3: Phnom Penh
Visit the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and the National Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes; both of which are very moving experiences. We later enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River. (B,L)
Day 4: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and visit Angkor Thom, The Bayon, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat. (B,L)
Day 5: Siem Reap
Enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap to visit the floating villages (Aug-Feb) or visit the National Silk Centre in Puok (Mar-Jul). In the afternoon, visit Bantey Srei and Bantey Samre. (B,L)
Day 6: Siem Reap – Saigon
Tour the small circuit including the Kravan, Sras Srang and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, which has been swallowed by the jungle. Fly to Saigon (B,D)

Cat Ba Island - 4D/3N
Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba Island
Transfer from your hotel in Hanoi and drive to the port of Hai Phong (approx 2 hours). Catch the hydrofoil to Cat Ba Island (approx 45 minutes) and transfer to the Cat Ba Sunrise Resort. This wellappointed hotel is widely regarded as the best on the island. Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant serving International and Asian cuisine, the Fisherman’s Grill garden restaurant, swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms. All of the beautifully furnished rooms face the beach and feature air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.
Day 2: Cat Ba Island
Drive to Trung Trang Cave, which is 10-30 metres below sea level. Situated in the largest valley on the island, the cave was formed by thousands of years of natural erosion of the limestone rock. Then visit Cat Ba National Park to enjoy a walk in the natural surroundings. A packed lunch is provided. Return to the town to explore the local market before ending the day on Cat Co Beach. (B,L)
Day 3: Cat Ba Island
Spend the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, stroll along the beautiful beach or further explore the island. (B)
Day 4: Cat Ba Island – Hanoi
Transfer to the dock to take the hydrofoil to Hai Phong. Continue by road to your hotel in Hanoi or Hanoi Airport for your onward flight. (B)

Day 1: Saigon – Phan Thiet
Transfer from your hotel in Saigon and drive (approx 4 hours) to Mui Ne Sailing Club. This delightful boutique hotel is located on Mui Ne Beach about 15 miles from the fishing town of Phan Thiet. This small, but charming resort features a fusion restaurant specialising in seafood, bar, spa, swimming pool and water sports. Days 2-4: Phan Thiet

Sapa Short Stay - 5D/4N
Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa
Transfer from your hotel in Hanoi to the railway station to board your overnight train to Lao Cai.
Accommodation on the train will be on a shared basis in a four berth soft sleeper compartment.
Days 2-3: Arrive Sapa
Arrive at Lao Cai station early in the morning and transfer to Sapa to commence your sightseeing. The town, surrounded by breathtaking mountain ranges and rice terraces is the home of many ethnic minorities. Over the next two days, we explore the markets, the different minority villages, spectacular valleys and fine examples of tribal architecture. There will be 5-6 hours of walking each day. (L,B,L)
Days 4-5: Depart Sapa
Visit the village of Ta Phin before transferring to Lao Cai station to board your overnight train to Hanoi (B). Arrive in Hanoi early the following morning.
