Here\u2019s a few of the best known to\ntickle your taste buds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Asahikawa. Hokaido<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailing from the heart of Hokkaido, Asahikawa Ramen are renowned\nfor their oily, shoyu based soup. Within you will find thin wavy noodles topped\nwith spring onions, barbecued pork, dried bamboo shoots and egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Sapporo <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sapporo&#8217;s famous miso ramen are thick and hearty. They\nusually features fat, filling noodles and are topped with local specialties\nsuch as creamy butter (Hokaido is known for its dairy produce) and sweetcorn.\nMiso Ramen are very popular and you\u2019ll find versions of it all over the country\nand even internationally .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Kitakata, Fukushima<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kitakata Ramen feature a lighter shoyu (Japanese style soy\nsauce) soup typically flavoured with pork bones, chicken stock and dried\nsardines. The noodles are flat and chewy in this ramen and topped with the\nstaples of spring onions, menma, and chashu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Tokyo <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve only eaten ramen once before, chances are it would\nhave been aversion of Tokyo ramen as this dish has become almost ubiquitous. Thick\nwavy noodles sit in a shoyu soup flavoured with fish stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Onomichi, Hiroshima <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the Seto Inland Sea on its doorstep, seafood features\nstrongly in Onomichi ramen as you would expect. Shoyu soup is flavoured with\ndashi fish stock made from locally caught fish and filled with thin straight\nfirm noodles. Tonkotsu means pork bones, the origin for the stock, and the broth\nis often topped with sliced pork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Okinawa <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>They dishes may be called soba in Okinawa but all the classic\ningredients of ramen can be found here.
