See the highlights of Beijing and Xian

Travel to Beijing and stroll through famous Tiananmen Square to the treasure-filled Forbidden City, visit the Temple of Heaven and see the exquisite Summer Palace before flying to the former imperial capital of Xian. Whilst in Xian, see one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century - the Terracotta Warriors followed by a visit to the ancient city wall and a stroll through the Muslim Quarter to the Great Mosque.
Day 1 : Arrive Beijing
Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 : Beijing
Sightseeing today includes a stroll through Tiananmen Square, past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum to the treasure-filled Forbidden City. Also tour the Summer Palace and enjoy the local delicacy, Peking Duck. (B,L,D)
Days 3-4 : Beijing
Enjoy sightseeing at China’s most famous attraction - the Great Wall. Visit the underground Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way. (B,L). The next day, explore Lama Temple and visit the unique 15th century Temple of Heaven. (B,L)
Day 5 : Beijing – Xian
Fly to the former ancient capital of Xian. (B)
Day 6 : Xian
Visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century – the Terracotta Warriors and walk along the Ancient City Wall. Also stroll through the lively Muslim Quarter to explore the Islamic food markets and enjoy a performance of Tang Dynasty dancing. (B,L)
Day 7 : Depart Xian
Transfer to Xian Airport for your onward flight. (B)
