3 days from £240
This trip gives you the chance to see what all the fuss is about. Siem Reap lies a short distance from the great ruins of Angkor. Watch the sunrise over the famous silhouette of Angkor Wat and then explore it's lesser known neighbouring temples each different from the last. This is a must see for anyone visiting the area and one that will not be easily forgotten.
Day 1 : Arrive Siem Reap
Transfer to your hotel in Siem Reap. This evening, climb to the summit of Pre Rup Temple at sunset for a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.
Day 2 : Siem Reap
Begin the day watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat. From here, drive to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. Start at the Southern Gate and continue to The Bayon, beautifully carved with numerous striking faces. Also visit the Royal Enclosure, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. After lunch, visit Ta Prohm Temple, which is undoubtedly the most atmospheric ruin at Angkor, having been swallowed by the jungle. Explore the magnificent Angkor Wat until sunset, which took 30 years to build. (B,L)
