See the adorable Giant Pandas on the ultimate long weekend in China

Arguably the world’s best-loved endangered species, the Panda is a symbol of conservation efforts worldwide. This short break takes visitors to one of the Sichuan’s leading panda conservation centres, and offers the opportunity to get involved in some of the work involved in caring for these endearing creatures.
Based in the regional capital of Chengdu, the tour also visits several other fascinating locations in the area, including the Giant Buddha of Leshan. This is the ultimate long weekend, leaving on a Thursday evening and returning early on a Monday morning.
Panda Conservation Work £100pp
£20 is donated to the WWF to support their essential conservation work
A unique chance to spend a short time supporting the Panda Conservation Centre’s work in protecting these endangered creatures. Involvement may include:
Helping to feed the pandas fresh bamboo and natural foods
Lending a hand with washing the pandas with cool water (during main summer months only)
Assisting with the cleaning of the enclosure to give the pandas a clean and comfortable place
Day 1-2 : Fly to Chengdu
Evening departure to Chengdu, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 : Grand Buddha of Leshan
Travel to Leshan and take a short boat trip to see the Grand Buddha. Later, visit the old town of Huanglongxi. Return to Chengdu for a Sichuanese meal. (B,L,D)
Day 4 : Panda Conservation Centre
Visit the Panda Reserve to see the Pandas being reared in woodland surroundings. Visit the ancient World Heritage Dujiangyan Irrigation project. Return to Chengdu Airport for your evening flight to the UK. (B,L)
Day 5 : Early morning UK arrival
Arrive in London at 7:20 am. (Flight schedules subject to change.)

Dinosaur Discovery Extension - 4D/3N
- One of the world’s most important discoveries of complete dinosaur skeletons is located in the Sichuan Province, just 100 miles from Chengdu.
Day 1: Overnight in Chengdu
After visiting the Panda Conservation Centre, overnight in Chengdu.
Day 2: Zigong Dinosaur Museum
Drive to Zigong to see the excavation sites. Stay overnight. (B,L)
Day 3: Zigong Salt Museum – Chengdu
Visit the Zigong Salt Museum. Later return to Chengdu, for your evening flight back to the UK. (B,L)
Day 4: Early morning arrival in the UK
Arrive in London at 7:20am.

Nine Villages Valley 6D/5N
- The Nine Villages Valley, a true gem of the Sichuan Province, features mountains, crystal clear lakes, lush green forests as well as an abundance of flora and fauna.
Day 1: Overnight in Chengdu
After visiting the Panda Conservation Centre, overnight in Chengdu.
Day 2: Nine Villages Valley
Fly to Jiuzhaigou and enjoy leisure time. (B)
Day 3: Nine Villages Valley
Explore the Nine Villages Valley. (B)
Day 4: Huanglong Temple and Viewpoint
Visit to the Huanglong Temple and beautiful, natural surrounding area. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Chengdu. (B)
Day 5: Chengdu – UK
Morning visit to Chengdu’s famous Wide and Narrow Alley. Later transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
Day 6: Early morning arrival in UK
Arrive in London at 7:20am.
