The Wendy Wu Wonders of China tour was my first trip to China. It was 16 days long and covered all the major sites you could think of; the Great Wall, Forbidden City and the Terracotta Army. Our guides were amazing. Nothing was ever too much for them. We had a National guide, Britney/Zhang Ru, who is just an amazing person. She was super helpful and one of the kindest people I have met. Our local guides were all very informative, knowledgable and passionate regarding their area/city and country, especially our Beijing guide Alan/Jiao Yang.
I would 100% use Wendy Wu again to go back to China in a heartbeat! Or even to try another country.

The tour Manager (Amanda) was excellent and made sure everybody was looked after well.

A really good experience of China covering The Great Wall, Terracotta Soldiers, Panda Zoo, Xian, Yangtze River Cruise and Shanghai, plus various attractions along the way. The Hotels were very good and the meals although somewhat repetitive were very good. The trip was very well organised and the guides were excellent in particular our national guide Amanda who was outstanding. overall a great trip which has left us with some wonderful memories, Highly recommended.

Outstanding tour and holiday in every aspect. We have travelled to every corner of the world on many tours and this has by far exceeded all others. Our first holiday with Wendy Wu, exceptional. Highly recommend without a shadow of a doubt and specially their national guide George Pu. Anyone thinking of visiting China, go now and go with Wendy Wu !!!

This was a great holiday, fast pace no doubt, but to see all the main attractions this was necessary. Our group comprised of a fabulous mix of the loveliest people ever. The Mekong River Cruise was a fabulous relaxer in the middle of the trip. I have to say on a negative side the trip in Beijing to the 'Old City' was quite disappointing...just a walk trough dusty streets to arrive at what appears to be nothing short of a tourist attraction visiting an 'authentic home' which was packed with other tourists eating was underwhelming. Another low point (an area that in my opinion may be able to be improved) was the day we had the early start to get the flight to Yichang. There was a long period of time in the afternoon spent hanging about before we were able to board the boat at 19.30hrs. Surely we could have stayed in a hotel in Yichang the evening prior to boarding the boat, enabling us to have a leisurely day there and possibly resulting on us being less tired on arrival at the cruise. All in all a great holiday enabling us to see all the main attractions in China. It was just such a wonderful asset to have the help and support of your National Guide Addison. What a well informed, kind gentleman he is. He was just amazing from start to finish. Thank You Addison

Wendy Wu delivered a fantastic itinerary on their "Wonders of China" trip. It covered all the major cultural attractions in Beijing, Xian & Guilin travelling by plane, boat & bullet train.
Addison, our national guide , was brilliant in every way & is a great ambassador for his country, hometown of Xian & the Wendy Wu company. We became his 'family' for the tour & we all loved him. All the local guides in each city were very knowledgeable & helpful too.
The local cuisine throughout was a delight to the palate & we have been left with wonderful memories that will last forever.
The icing on the cake was our three day adventures in Tibet thanks to our lovely guide Yangte. My knowledge of Buddism has greatly increased & I have gained a great friend in the Himalayas.
Thank you Wendy Wu for your excellent organisation & help with the visa. You made it so easy & I will certainly travel with you again.

A wonderful holiday with a wonderful National guide Addison who couldn't do enough for us. Saw some awesome sights - the Great Wall on which we walked, the warriors at Xian, the pandas and our favourite city Shanghai. Also we cruised for 4 days on the magnificent Yangtze and sailed on the picturesque River Li. Amazing memories and friendly travelling companions too. Wendy Wu tours are surely the tops in China with most meals included and included visa.

We had confidence that we were in safe hands with Wendy Wu. Their organisation and support infrastructure in China was very reassuring. The arrangements at each attraction and location were very good and Wendy Wu obviously enjoyed certain benefits over other companies. Transportation and porterage was excellent as was their national guide Sean, who was excellent and very attentive. Local guides were also very good. We benefited from being part of a small group of only 15 all of whom got on very well and was one of the major reasons why the trip was so enjoyable. Obviously, this was unusual and I understand larger groups of up to 29/30 are possible. Would definitely recommend Wendy Wu.

We signed up to see the Wondweds of China and we certainly did. It was a full on itinerary with some long days but necessary to get everything in. It would have been nice to have a little more free time to recover and at least change and shower before evening meals.

My wife & I travelled with Wendy Wu for the first time when we visited China in May.
Our overall view is that Wendy Wu provided a good service, but they are not the best Tour Company we have travelled with over the years.

The Wonders of China Tour is full on, with very little free time to explore on your own.
China is a big country and several times on the Tour, we took early afternoon internal flights (at approx 2 pm) which meant that we didn't arrive at the next city until late at night.
After flying from Xian to Wuhan we then had a 5.5 hour coach journey to Yichang to pick up our Yangtze Cruise, arriving at 11.15 pm.
We later discovered that the Cruise ship did not depart Yichang until the next evening.
It would have been far better to have had an extra relaxing day in Xian before taking an earlier flight to Wuhan.
Another example was our late arrival into our final stop Shanghai, meant we missed out on a Night Cruise on the Huangpu River and we went straight to our hotel instead.
The guides then attempted to cram everything into the next day, starting earlier than normal, but by 5.30 pm the group decided they were too tired and wanted to get back to the hotel to freshen up before our final meal. We again missed out on the Night Cruise and seeing The Bund at night.
We expected our local guides to have a thorough knowledge of their home city, however, whilst in Beijing, our local guide did not even know that Tiananmen Square had been closed off, or that there were similar parking restrictions around the Birdsnest Stadium & Water Cube on the following day.
