At Wendy Wu Tours, we want to know what you think about the service you receive when you book with us and what you thought about your tour itself. It's this vital information that helps us to improve in the future. With this in mind, we have teamed up with an independent review platform called feefo. Once you have made a booking or returned from one of our tours, you'll receive an email from feefo asking you to rate your experience with us. We then display these reviews right here, completely untouched by us, so you can trust them 100%.

Highly professional, customer focussed team. Extremely knowledgable about the areas visited in china. Our national tour guide, Jason Goa, who stayed with us throughout our Glories of China tour was the best we have ever had and the local guides supported him very well.
When we had a mix up regarding the breakfasts in our Hong Kong two day add on, Wendy Wu in the UK were very helpful in sorting it out by email and that was at a weekend.
The booking arrangements were smooth and carefree as they offer the Visa service. The itinerary and tickets arrived on time and with enough information for each day without overloading us with paper.
Transfers and internal flights were handled seamlessly and we didn't have to worry about the luggage. We just had to turn up and enjoy ourselves.
Thank you for your 5* review!
We really appreciate your feedback regarding your recent visit to China.
Our "Glories of China" certainly showcases all the glorious highlights of this amazing country. We are sorry to hear of the problem with the breakfast, but are pleased we were able to rectify the issue quickly and efficiently.
Your lovely comments about Jason will be passed along to him, and I am sure he will be happy to hear he was able to turn your trip into the best one you ever had.
We would be delighted to welcome onboard another Wendy Wu tour in the future.
Everything was organised and carried out with complete professionalism.
we could not have asked for better service on any part of the tour.
Our Guide Raymond was superb, nothing was too much trouble and the 4 local guides that worked with him were really helpful in their knowledge of their areas.
Fully recommend Wendy Wu for anyone wishing to tour China.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review!
Your lovely comments will be passed along to Raymond, which I am sure will make his day!
We really appreciate your recommendations, and can't wait to welcome you on-board another Wendy Wu Tour.
Organised tours were good but not as per the itenery because the guides keep takeing us were they might get a kick back from sales, not long enough at the main attractions again being taken to sales pitches.
Not enough time at main attractions
The service from the London staff followed by first class tour guides in China was second to none. I can't recommend Wendy Wu Tours highly enough and would certainly travel with them again.
Great itinerary and first class service throughout from booking to leaving China
Thank you for your 5* review!
We are so pleased that you were delighted with the service you received from both our London Colleagues and your tour guides in China, to ensure you have had another amazing tour with us.
Thank you very much for your recommendations, and we look forward to helping you on your next adventure!
Accommodation and food were excellent.
The holiday was pretty full on with so much packed into it. The guides were friendly and informative. However, there were too many shopping opportunities presented to us and I would have preferred to spend the time elsewhere.
The pre-holiday information suggested activites in rural areas such as cycling or rafting but whilst there the guides advised against it and didn't offer any other activity apart from shopping!! I found this very disappointing. However, I went off exploring on my own and found some birds and butterflies in a local park and a pagodas at the top of a peak.
The excursions in the various places were interesting and I especially liked the boat trip on the Li River and the night boat trip in Shanghai.
Generally enjoyable and a lot packed into the holiday but too much emphasis on shopping.
the rep hebi was brilliant nothing was to much for her.All the other we had on the tour were good ,Every where we went for meals and the hotels were very good. On our last day me and a freind booked a taxi and went to the zoo to see the panda so did not miss out on them as were disapointed we had not seen on the tours, they were one of the things we were looking forward to seeing when we booked thank you
loads were fitted in to do
A trip like this would have been impossible to arrange on our own. Wendy Wu organised and managed everything for us in the background, freeing us up to absorb the fascinating culture and environment of this amazing country. Our national guide, Hebe, was brilliant - friendly, informative and highly efficient.
Some reviews we read before going said that many of the beds were too hard. We had no complaints at all in this respect. All hotel rooms were large and well appointed, with twin queen-sized or bigger beds.
Don't expect a restful holiday though. There are lots of early starts and late nights to make the most of your limited time on tour!
Brilliant value for money, as were the optional additional events we attended.
So glad to hear you had an amazing time on one of our tours! We always try to ensure our clients get the most out of our trips and are delighted to hear you felt this way about Wendy Wu Tours.
The national tour guide Addison is an asset to the success of the tour ... his dedication ensured that our experience was memorable , action packed , well organised and amazing adventure he is a credit to the company , he is well informed , hard working , generous , proud of his peers , assertive and a true gentleman. Natalie ( my eldest daughter aged 28) and I arrived in Shanghai ,,, One of the tour guide was waiting for us at the airport .. welcoming us to china with a great big smile. Allow me to explain in brief an introduction to our adventure known as "the glories of china" . being in such a large country as china plus I don't speak Chinese I believed traveling with Wendy wu tours would be a sensible option . At the hotel we was greeted by our national tour guide Addison , the communication between the guides is amazing , he welcomes us to china stating he is pleased to meet us , he gives us our room key with an invitation to meet for dinner in a hour . From leaving the taxi to arriving in our room took maximum 5 minutes. Addison had checked us in ready for our arrival , he had porters ready to help with our bags , taxi door open by the doorman , lift door open by someone else .. we feel like royalty. We meet for dinner just a short walk away from our hotel the restaurant staff great us welcome us in offering us drinks (Chinese beer is very similar to lager ). The arrangement for meals is Addison orders a selection of dishes which is shared with our new travel buddies , we will affectionately become known as the Addison family 16 in total . Our first dinner is only 8 due to others arriving late evening .. this was perfect all the dining tables are circular most with a lazy Susan ( turn table ) in the centre so here we are sharing a new experience , culture , food and practising chop sticks with strangers !!! It was fabulous food fabulous people . After our long journey from Home to Shanghai ( 23 hours) the thought of going out to sharing food and pleasantries with strangers over dinner was not on the top of my to do list .. it's an amazing introduction to china . Brilliant evening. We are here slap bang in the middle of the Chinese New Year 2018 celebrations.. our first port of call is the the old town and yu gardens .. did I say there is a population of 26 million in Shanghai ??? Well there is !!! and I believe they was all there with us in the old town !!! What an amazing atmosphere, sights , smells , music , .. we get our first understanding as why it's a must to book on a tour . We don't join queue's we go via VIP entry on all of the excursions ( apparently Wendy wu is a very powerful woman across china and well respected ) everyone aim to please us. Shanghai known as Paris of the east with modern skyscrapers , European style mansions intermingling with shikuman buildings presents a blend of cultures modern and traditional. The old town of Shanghai where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handcrafts, tea and an array of snacks .. the yu garden is the home to jade rock , goldfish ponds, pavilions, dragon walls and plants. We also go to the Silk museum, a walk around Shanghai up to the 88 floor of Jinmao tower , a ride on the maglev trains and a night cruise on huangpu river fills up a very good day .. We are driven to zhujiajiao it's a water village ( think Venice ) built on an old canal system alley ways , stone bridges, temples. We take a boat ride (Chinese style gondola ) . In and out of sights that take you by amazement at every turn . From here we now go to people square do some exercise with the locals, visit Shanghai museum finally finish the day with an evening stroll along the bund. Next day we fly to Guilin we check in to our hotel named waterfall-located on a lake. This location is breathtaking the lake has the sun ( red ) and moon ( gold ) pergolas. Our hotel becomes a waterfall daily at 9pm . ( the wall of the hotel just flows and flows water from the roof top down past the bedroom windows ) The seven star park with the mountain back drop is what makes Guilin beautiful countryside. After another tasty dinner we went for a beer or two on western street in an Irish bar . Today we cruise the li river to Yangzhou stunning scenery .. check in our hotel ready for our liu sanjie evening open air show on the lake .. the back drop is the stunning mountains , the performers are the local farmers their families and town folk . The show is directed by zhang yimou the creator of the Beijing Olympic opening ceremony. Absolutely amazing !!! A day with the local farmers land and their homes , they cook us a very tasty lunch, have a photo taken with the fisherman's two cormorants. Enjoy an hours reflexology massage feet and shoulders . Out for dinner drinks and dancing on western street . A very cultured day visiting the pearl museum , explore the sun and moon pagodas on for lake , connected by an underwater tunnel . Another night in an Irish bar there seems to be one in every town in china !!! Today we take flight to Xian visit the wild goose pagoda ( the only building that survived one of the strongest earthquakes in world history ) a night at the theatre enjoying a Tang Dynasty dancing show after sampling a feast of traditional shui jiao dumplings in comes a birthday cake !!!! My new travel Addison family and the restaurant staff sing both English and Chinese version of happy birthday .. 🥃🎂🥃.. Ok how do you describe the terracotta warriors ... one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century . I could go on and on and on with all the facts and the sheer amazement of the site however it would never prepare anyone for the experience . In the afternoon we walk the city wall ( china likes their walls ) of Xian giving us a birds eye view over this fantastic city .. followed by admiring the lights of Xian on the tang ever bright night walk marvelling at the fountain light show outside the big wild goose pagoda . I stand in the middle getting soaked from the spray totally freezing now .. shower bed fabulous . Today we travel to Beijing on the bullet train experience a rickshaw ride through the warren like hutongs ( homes ) we visit the locals part take in exercise in the park . Eat with them in their homes , very kindly they prepare a feast for all of us . Today we rise early putting our best foot forward to walk/climb the Great Wall of china !!!! Over 700 years old I find it a strange experience like I'm in a dream the day is bright blue skies visibility is perfect the climb is steep however it's a must do temp -3 c. On route to summer palace we have a photo stop opportunity at the famous nest and cube Beijing Olympic stadiums. Call in at the jade museum. I strike the massive Buddhist bell in summer palace a former holiday retreat for Qing emperors . After feasting on dinner we go to the Kung fu show/story. Is it possible to see and experience more ??? Tiananmen Square , temple of heaven , forbidden city topped off with an evening on feasting on Peking duck .. is just a brief of my last day on the tour . Sorry the blog is lengthily I have not include all my experience as it would be a book .
Every minute of the tour is fabulous 👍😎👍

Amazing trip, great value for money. What a great host - made the trip extra special
Busy busy busy - so much to do and see
everything was well organised national tour operator was brilliant over and above expectations, had 5 flights, one boat trip and bullet train everything was on time and ran perfectly to schedule. Hotels and food were excellent.
everything was well organised, Mark national tour guide was brilliant over and above expectations, everything was on time and ran smoothly and loved every minute.
Covered all major sites of interest with an exceptional national guide and very good local guides. Extremely well organised.
The service was excellent from our first enquiry to booking and going on holiday. The lead guide ' Sophie ' was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. A lady with charisma and very professional. The local guides knew their stuff. The holiday more than lived up to expectations. Wendy Wu we would recommend with out hesitation.
Very easy to book and helpful staff. There were no hidden extras. We did not have to think about anything just taking all the wonders.
Nothing is left to chance with Wendy Wu tours. Great locations, excellent hotels, a full schedule and top guides, who cope comfortably with every detail. Their service levels are exemplary.
Great holiday, everything included; all the major sights, meals, travel, and good value for money.
Excellent service from the initial booking all the way through the tour. Local guides are knowledgable and take care of all aspects of the trip so you can just enjoy the journey and take in the amazing sites. Would definitely recommend Wendy Wu to family and friends.
A great trip if you want a flavour of China. If you want a relaxing break then this is not for you. If you want an Asian adventure to take in as many sites and experiences that can fit in a single break then this is a great choice. The local guides are excellent and really add to the trip. Enjoyed every moment.
David and Judith were part of the Wendy Wu Glories of China tour in October 2017. It was a marvelous experience and we would both thoroughly recommend it to others. You do need to be reasonably fit to enjoy the relentless pace of the tour. We concluded that the Chinese work very hard and tour members were given the opportunity to holiday very hard.
Lisa, our National Tour Leader was wonderful: very well-organised, patient, caring, humorous and knowledgeable. She played a major part in making this the holiday of a life time. Her command of English was remarkable and she really enriched the coach journeys with Mandarin lessons, background info and answers to innumerable questions about Chinese issues today. Thank you Lisa. You were tǐng tǐng hǎo . And thanks also to the excellent Local Tour Leaders.
All the hotels were well appointed and comfortable although the beds in Yangshuo were very hard. Food was excellent, quickly served, and the focus of much group interaction. Coaches were comfortable and driven well.
All arrangements were made with commendable efficiency and clarity. We always felt "looked after" in this unfamiliar country. Not many things went wrong on our tour (one nasty fall and one illness that required hospitalisation) but they were dealt with quickly and sympathetically.
Scenically, the highlight was the river cruise on the River Li to Yangshuo and then spending time in that small city. From a sheer interest point of view, we were particularly fascinated to learn from our guides about China NOW. What a country!!
The UK looks very shabby now.
