Below is a step-by-step help guide with all the answers that you require for each section of the visa application form. This includes the relevant hotel information needed.

• 1 - Upload photo and passport data page: please scan a passport sized photo to upload in JPEG format only (please ensure your photo meets the required photo specifications)
• 1.1 - Name: (Your personal details will auto fill once your passport copy has been uploaded, please check details are correct)
  • Family name - Please enter your surname as shown in your passport
  • Given name(s) - Please enter your full name (including middle names) as shown in your passport
  • Other/former name(s) - Please enter any other names including maiden names you may have
  • Chinese name - Not applicable, can be left blank
• 1.2 - Date of birth: Please enter your date of birth (YYYY/MM/DD)
• 1.3 - Gender: Please select your gender.
• 1.4 - Place of birth:
  • Country/Region - Please select your country of birth from the dropdown options provided.
  • Province/State - Please type your county of birth (e.g. Kent)
  • City: Please type your city of birth (e.g. Maidstone)
• 1.5A - Marital Status: Please select from the options provided. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide an explanation.
• 1.6 - Nationality and permanent residence
  • Nationality - Please select from the dropdown menu
  • National ID number - Not applicable to British passport holders
  • Do you have any other nationality - Please tick 'Yes' or 'No' if yes, please provide details
  • Do you have a permanent residence in any other country - Please tick 'Yes' or 'No' if yes, please provide details

• 1.7 - Passport
  • Type of passport/travel document - Please select from the options provided. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide an explanation.
  • Passport/travel document number - Please type your passport number as appears in your passport
  • Issuing country/region - Please select from the dropdown menu
  • Place of issue - Please type the issuing authority, for British passport holders, this will be stated in your passport and is usually ‘HMPO’.
  • Expiration date - Please enter expiry date as shown in your passport (YYYY/MM/DD)
• 2.1 - Types of visa and major purpose of your visit to China Please select ‘Tourism (L)’ from the dropdown menu and select independent tourist.
• 2.2 – Service type Please select ‘Normal’ service, otherwise you will be billed for any additional fees.
• 2.3 - Visa application information
  • Visa validity for your application: 3 months
  • Expected stay for: Please type how many days you will be in China. You can calculate this from your flight information on your confirmation invoice.
  • Entries of your application: Please select ‘Single’
• 3.1 - Current Occupation Please select from the dropdown menu. If you are retired and have been for more than 5 years, please select ‘Unemployed’. If you are unsure, you can select ‘other’ and type your job role.
• 3.2 - Work experience in the last 5 years if more than 1, please select the add button at the bottom of this section and repeat the below. If you have been retired for more than 5 years, please tick ‘Not applicable’ box and provide an explanation, e.g. Retired.

  • 6.1A - Date of arrival in China: Please refer to your flight itinerary (flights are usually overnight departing from United Kingdom)
  • 6.1B - Arrival train/ship/flight no.: Please refer to your flight itinerary
  • 6.1C - City of your destination: Please refer to your flight itinerary (counties can be found in the below address’)
  • District/County: Please refer to our hotel list on the next page or refer to your Visa Support Letter
  • 6.1D – City to stay: Please refer to our hotel list on the next page.
  • Address: Please use the below address’ for the purpose of your visa only, in the order you arrive in China (if you are entering or leaving from a different city, please contact us) - you will need to click ‘add’ to enter all three cities.

  The most important requirement for the hotel section is that the entry point (tour starting place) and exit point (tour ending place) are correct.

  Do I need to input all the destinations I will visit? You only need to input the 3 destinations provided on your hotel list

  What if there is a gap in the dates? This is fine. There will be a gap in the dates between some of your destinations.

You will be required to upload the following materials:

• Proof of UK residency (non-UK passport holders)
• Passport copy
• Listed documents for applicants who previously held Chinese citizenship
• Previous Chinese visa (if applicable)
• Flight itinerary (airline ticket)
• Invitation letter (Visa Support Letter)
• Chinese statement for single/double entry visa – This document must be completed and uploaded in any of the upload fields available. If you do not upload this document, then you will be?required to attend the visa centre in London in person.

Please note hotel booking confirmation and photocopy of inviter’s ID are optional and not required.

What happens after you submit your application

Once you have submitted your application, the status will then need to be reviewed, this may take up to 3 weeks we recommend logging in to your account regularly to check the status.

What happens after your application is approved

Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification via email. Once the email has been received, please log into your account and download a copy of your application form to print and sign.

Can't find your approved application?

If you are unable to find your approved application, you may need to alter the date to the date it was completed, as per below

Once you have located your approved application, please click ‘view’ this will take you to a new page with a barcode at the top of the screen, please click ‘Save as PDF file’ to the right hand side. This will save your application for you to print and sign.

Please gather the following documents to be posted special delivery to DJB Visas.

• Approval slip (this will be attached to your approval email)
• Flight itinerary

• Chinese Statement for single entry visa
• Proof of UK residency (non-UK passport holders)
• Copies of any previous Chinese visas (if this is in a separate passport, the original passport will also be required)
