Close

Spread along the shores of Lake Phewa, Pokhara sits in a verdant, sub-tropical valley about 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu. Just 25 kilometres away, the Himalayas thrust abruptly skywards from the valley floor – the Annapurna and Manasha ranges both have peaks that are 8,000 metres plus, some of the world’s highest mountains. On a clear morning, the unobstructed views of the mountains from the city are breathtaking. Whilst Pokhara is a modern city, Nepal’s second largest, the area along the lakeshore is a relaxed and vibrant enclave of its own, the ideal place to sit back and enjoy the views. Pokhara has also earned itself the title of Nepal’s adventure capital, best known as the starting point for treks of the Annapurna circuit. With its magical landscapes, balmy climate and laidback atmosphere, you'll find yourself never wanting to leave!
