Having chosen to go with Wendy Wu, although it was dearer than Titan, we were horrified when we were told we would have to pay an extra £626.00 for flights from Heathrow. I enquired about flights from Bristol and was told that probably none were direct, a lot more expensive, and anti social hours. This is not accurate. We were given flights to Heathrow that leave at 6-35 am, return 22.30pm, not exactly social when you live over 2 hours away.
It quite clearly states that the reduced price of £5980 includes a flight from Heathrow. It is not our fault if Wendy Wu miscalculated the costs and we should not be expected to pay for this. A goodwill gesture of £50 each is a joke. What goodwill, we shouldn't be paying extra for something that is not our fault and is included in the package.
We have been on previous holidays with Wendy Wu and feel as loyal customers this is a poor way of treating us and rewarding us for returning. The deposit of £700 also seemed unreasonably high. I Lost £200 a few weeks ago when I had to cancel our Japanese holiday which we can no longer afford. I postponed it from last year because I had fractured my collar bone(ACJoint).
My husband has always wanted to do this tour but his birthday is in July, when it's hot, so this seemed a perfect 70th present. We are angry and upset about this.

Our Tour: Good
The expert guide choice was unfortunate. She failed to respond to the group and droned on and on with too much detail. Despite many requests she did not hold her microphone and it was unpleasant listening to it hitting her ID cards as she walked. She was always the last arrival. Lunches and dinners were mostly very late and largely repetitive ( greek salad meatballs) .
The tour leader and driver were exceptionally good.
