Excellent trip with first rate guide.

However, the last 3 days travel ending in Sapporo were probably too much for us. A lot of travelling for no real difference to what we had seen & enjoyed earlier in the trip.

Some of the sites visited were extremely busy which is due to over tourism, not the fault of WendyWu. This may however be an opportunity for Wendywu to find some less visited sites in the country for a more off the beaten track experience (a more rural or seaside area added for a couple of nights would be great). The tour guide, Mari, was excellent and the trip went very smoothly, due to her great organisational skills and knowledge of the country. It was a full on tour and a little more free time might have been useful. In hind sight I think that a bit more time in the south/middle of the country would have been better with the trip finishing in Tokyo. Travelling up to Sapporo was a lot of time on the trains with only single nights in hotels (rather than 2 nights for most of the rest of the trip) and the weather was worse in the north with shorter days at this time of year. Overall, an excellent trip.

Wendy Wu's organisation and service continues at its usual very high standard.

Product :

Worth it to see the Snow Monkeys enjoying their hot spring bath and the fantastic snow sculptures in Sapporo. Would have awarded 5 stars if more of the included meals were Japanese instead of buffet-style meals.
