This tour is suitable for those who have a reasonable amount of time available to travel and who are looking to take a comprehensive tour of Nepal on a private basis. As this tour is a private tour, not all meals are included which gives you the opportunity to occasionally pick your own dining experience.
Fly overnight to Kathmandu.
On arrival, you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)
Visit Patan, the second largest city in Nepal. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage listed former Royal Palace, Putan's Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa. You will also visit Bodhnath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, also the Pashupatinath Temple, famous for its shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. (B,L)
Travel to the 9th Century town of Bhaktapur where you will visit the Golden Gate at the Palace of 55 Windows and the Changu Narayan Temple. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B,L)
Drive to Pokhara and visit the Barahi Temple. (B,L)
Tour the international Mountain Museum and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Phewa as well as a walk to the World Peace Pagoda. (B,L)
Head to Chitwan National Park, one of the last refuges of the One Horned Rhino for a jeep safari. (B,L,D)
Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris around the park seeking out wild elephants, tigers, sloth bears, deer and monkeys with a local naturalist guide. (B,L,D)
Leave Chitwan National Park this morning and travel to Dhulikhel, an area which offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas and is popular for its natural beauty and ancient traditions. Visit an assembly of fine Newari houses with carved windows and doors; these are typical of local residences. Later we have the opportunity to wander around the small local market and observe the day to day lifestyle of the locals. (B,L,D)
Return to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,L)
