The 'In Pursuit of Pandas' tour hit all the highlights for me, ticked so many boxes and delivered so many wow factors. It was colourful, vibrant and fascinating. From the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, the bullet train, the extravagant shows, the heated toilet seats and of course the Pandas, it was an amazing experience. A true trip of a lifetime. Our guide Jason was very knowledgeable, he was able to explain the history, culture, sights and concepts in good English. He was cheerful, helpful, resourceful and approachable. He gave the impression he really did care about all of us having a good experience and making our trip a really memorable one. I loved the large communal tables at meal times. They helped break the ice at the beginning of the tour and were good fun. It was good to eat in different restaurants. Jason made a point in telling us what each dish was and whether it was hot & spicy or not, plus we were encouraged to eat with chopsticks which I think we all mastered to some degree. I was pleased the hotels provided a choice including a more western style breakfast although my choice was always yogurt and fruit.
