Our Tour: average

Too much crammed into each day not much free time to relax last hotel was a bit dated. Needs updating. So much going on all rolled into one Could do with no lunch some days as it was mostly the same each day. 6 hour drive on the last day was too much maybe there is another way to take a train and maybe get the luggage transferred overnight

I had a great time on the Wendy Wu Jewels of Japan tour. Our guide, Massa, was very kind and humorous and ensured we all got to the right place at the right time. The tour is quite hectic, with early-ish starts and late finishes, but we packed loads in. The other guests were from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and everybody got on well. I would definitely consider going on another Wendy Wu tour.

This was my first time in Japan and Naomi (our guide) provided the most enjoyable experience for us. The sites we visited were quite amazing and we were very fortunate with the weather. Thank you to Naomi and the Wendy Wu team for making this experience one I will always treasure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Japan. It was everything that we expected. The group was very compatible and our leader was wonderful. Naomi went over and above for her tour group. She was informative about Japan and the history and she researched any question if she was unsure. Naomi showed compassion and kindness towards the group members. I thought the organisation was seamless and efficient so that no time was wasted and we could see so much of Japan. It made it a completely stress free holiday. Our guide was amazing in every respect. She was knowledgeable and had a lovely sense of humour. She went above and beyond in making our tour so enjoyable.

Our Tour: Excellent

A very enjoyable holiday that took in the major attractions in Japan. There was a full programme of visits and activities and we especially enjoyed Kyoto, Tokyo and Himeji Castle. The food was enjoyable, especially the Authentic Japanese cuisine. There is never too much free time on these tours, but we would have appreciated a bit more free time to shop or explore independently.
Add on days at the beginning in Tokyo and at the end in Osaka to get the most out of your trip.
Great bunch of fellow travellers with the majority from Australia and New Zealand. Our guide was excellent and kept us organised.

A well organised and informative trip. Our guide, Madoka, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She did everything she could to make our holiday special. The food and hotels were excellent. The daily tour itinerary packed in as many sights and activities as possible so was very tiring. We would have preferred less Shrines to give some free time. Overall a perfect holiday.

We really loved our Jewels of Japan holiday with Wendy Wu tours. A fantastic experience, giving a real feel for the history, culture and food of Japan. Some excellent hotels, great places and had a great variety of Japanese food. We certainly never went hungry and were really impressed with the restaurants chosen for our meals.
Our guide for the whole trip Kanako was excellent. She really made the holiday exceptional. Just the right amount of information, always cheerful, and very engaging with the whole group.
Also our guide for our Nara add on day, Sachiko Mori, was excellent too. We really enjoyed our day with her.
Highly recommended

Jewels of Japan is an action packed trip to Japan, taking in most of the iconic sites.
Our guide Madoka was amazing, with a good sense of humour and was very informative about the places we visited.
The hotels were all very good quality as were the coaches used to transport us around.
I liked the fact that the tour introduced us to all the different foods eaten in Japan and the various ways the dishes are served and presented.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience

The holiday was action packed and the tours were well planned. Restaurants we visited were varied and excellent quality. All hotels were top quality with Hotel Clad near Mount Fuji being exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the onsen there.
