It was a wonderful tour the coach the hotels were excellent and the guide was brilliant. He gave a full explanation on every aspect of India. Nothing with too much trouble for him.
I was very impressed that every restaurant we stopped at he insured that we all were served and not overcharged

Fabulous holiday, very well organised, great leader. I would have preferred not to have eaten buffet style food in hotels and we had a 46 seater coach for 23 holidaymakers, this resulted in issues getting round the narrow roads and adding extra travelling time. The itinerary was an excellent mixture of palaces, temples and scenery. My favourite was the houseboat in the backwaters of Kerela.

The pre-tour advice and booking service was, as ever, excellent. Ellen was extremely polite and helpful and totally customer orientated. It gave me immense confidence in the remainder of the process in dealing with Wendy Wu. This is again in line with previous experience in dealing with this excellent tour operator.

Great offer on a perfect trip for me - including several places I really want to see.. nice mix of activities. I wanted to book a tour over a year ahead and also wanted to add a slight variation to start details so I could visit family. So I called rather than booking online. Process was calm and efficient- a good experience.

Our Tour: Good

The tour was excellent, with lots of interesting places to see. There were a lot of long coach journeys between towns & cities, but the scenery was very picturesque. We visited a number of temples & mosques and a couple of museums & palaces. The highlights, in my view, were the visit to the tea plantation, nature walk through the game reserve, visit to see village life in Kumbalangi & the overnight stay on the Kettuvallam boat. We were blessed with an excellent guide, Bani, & a very friendly group of fellow travellers.

Fabulous holiday. The content was varied & interesting - one minute in the heart of a big city, the next up in the mountains amid the tea plantations - not forgetting the serenity of a night on a houseboat in the backwaters.
Everything was planned really well & we had an excellent & organised guide. Wendy Wu may look a bit more expensive than others at first but when you see what is inclued for the price (all meals, transfers, excursions & even visas) it becomes very good value indeed. On this trip, you barely needed any spending money!

I would definitely recommend both this trip & the tour operator

An excellent taster of the culture, sights, food and people.
The bus was very well driven by Anand, especially around the narrow mountain passes. Our guide Ramesh, was also very personable.
The accommodation was very good, especially The Residency Hotels. Just a couple of pointers: Worth maybe spending 2 days in places like Mysore, as the first week was hectic being on the move every day. The itinery needs to make us aware that there is no alcohol served in Munnar or Thekkady, as most of the group liked to relax in the evenings with a drink. Also we were not made aware of an overnight bag for the houseboat trip. The tour was very special with a lovely group and I would highly recommend it.
