Had a fantastic holiday with Wendy Wu Wonders of China Tour.From start to finish everything was handled with no problems.Our tour guide Cecila went over and above explaining each day and ensuring our day went smoothly.We felt completely safe and comfortable in China with everyone friendly and welcoming.The local guides also were outstanding with there knowledge and communication. Everyday was filled with sights and tastes beyond our expectations.Would definitely recommend this tour and China as a country to visit,you will not be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Wonders of China tour. The organisation was excellent and our guide, Hoffman was superb as were the local guides. The tour gave us a great opportunity to see the principle sights around China which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The hotels, apart from the one in Beijing were excellent. The cruise accommodation was disappointing, our room smelt musty and the thermostat could not be adjusted. The food and staff on the cruise were excellent.
The food and choice of restaurants were very good and Hoffman went to great lengths to ensure my wife who is vegetarian was catered for. Thank you.

Overall the holiday was very good. We saw the wonders of China as detailed on the itinerary led by our tour guide Sharon who was excellent. The logistics of the trip were first class with flights, trains and buses all on time. The local guides at each location were also excellent with detailed knowledge of their area. We paid for upgraded hotels and were not disappointed. The only problem was that given the busy itinerary we did not really get the good of them. Breakfasts at the hotels were all excellent. We would have given this holiday an excellent score if it had not been for the food at lunch and dinner which was very repetitive and often not to an even a good standard. As mentioned earlier we paid for upgraded acommadation and we were expecting the food to match. Not sure why we could not have eaten in the hotels we stayed in as on a couple of occasions we were taken to a local restaurant before checking into the hotel which on one occasions was at 10:00pm

We recently returned from the Wonders of China tour. It was a truly amazing experience, the hotels, meals, sightseeing and transportation were absolutely fantastic and were well above what we had expected. Our tour guide Ryan was very professional and adapted the itinerary very well when some of our group were delayed in joining the tour. The entire trip was superbly organised and we had an absolutely fantastic experience.
My only criticism would be the size of the group. We had the maximum of 28 people on our tour, which whilst manageable may have been better with a slightly smaller number.
On another note, and this is totally out of the control of Wendy Wu tours, there is a huge amount of walking and steps involved on this tour. Several of the people in the group were struggling with this aspect. It is just how things are in China but perhaps more emphasis on this could be stated pre-booking. It is mentioned by Wendy Wu tours in the final documentation you receive just prior to departure but by then is it too late to have second thoughts.
All in all from booking to completion of the tour itself it could not be faulted. An absolutely amazing, and professionally executed, experience.

We had an amazing trip thanks to the wonderful organisational skills of our National guide Jerry. Everything ran like clockwork. The local guides were also fantastic. We saw everything on the itinerary and more. Wonderful cities, scenery, bullet trains and boat trip, not to forget the Pandas. Was surprised at first to go to a zoo to see them but after watching Ben Fogle in Chengdu realise that had we gone there we may not have seen any at all! Would highly recommend Wendy Wu for an escorted trip.

Great overview of included places. Very well organised. Our coaches were ready to pick us up from outside venues so entry and exit were swift. Very good, knowledgeable guides who dealt with a variety of requirements. We covered a large area in 2 weeks and were immersed in the history of China as we travelled through it. Quite a busy schedule but we were able to sit out any that were too challenging. Overall a great trip and introduction to China for me. I will be going back to visit different places with friends.

This 16 day tour of the highlights of China was amazing. Wendy Wu organised everything perfectly, and our guide Gary Guo was excellent. He managed to shepherd 18 of us through Beijing, Xian, Yichang, Yangtze River cruise, Chongqing, Guilin, Yangshuo and Shanghai via 2 high speed trains, 2 internal flights and 2 river cruises (4 nights and 4 hours).

The standard of the hotels was very good, and all busses were of a high standard with good, safe drivers.

Everything listed as included in the itinerary was included, and the few extra options were of good quality.

The food was plentiful and of good quality, although it did get somewhat monotonous over the 2 weeks of very similar dishes for lunch and dinner.

I would not hesitate to recommend Wendy Wu and Gary Guo for a tour of China.

Gems of China was a great way to visit and see all of China’s main experiences whilst getting a little insight into life in China. Hotels were of a really good standard and for the most part food was great (with the exception of a visit to an Irish Pub)
The National Guide was efficient and friendly and managed to keep control of our wonderful group of 26 people. The only criticisms are some lack of flexibility and hard selling at most of the experiences but guess this is China. The river cruise provided a relatively relaxing break in the middle of a full on itinerary and was an opportunity to really get to know the rest of the group. My highlights were the Great Wall and Shanghai - what an eye opener! Immaculate organisation from Wendy Woo as usual.

My wife and I went on the holiday to China 6-20 Apr 26 and had a really wonderful time. Our guide Linda, really made the whole holiday extra special. Our time was well planned, well organized and well supported with all the extra local guides Linda used for the whole of the holiday. She organized extra shows and activities that gave us a real taste of her country, and the food she chose for our lunch and dinner meals gave us a broad choice of local regional dishes from all the places we visited. For the 2 weeks we spent in China Linda managed to cram in everything I had on my `bucket list`and a lot more besides. China is a vast country with lots of fascinating historic and modern sites to see. The initial cost of the holiday may seem expensive, but once you see what is included in the cost, it is worth every penny. My wife and I enjoyed this holiday so much we are now looking into visiting Japan next year (2027), thank you Wendy Wu for a really great holiday, with lots of wonderful memories.

An amazingly full schedule for 16 days. Saw China's amazing historic sites. Tour guide was excellent. Would travel with Wendy Wu again.

From arrival in Beijing to departure from Shanghai, we were looked after every step of the way, by our guide Sean, plus local guides.
I cannot speak highly enough of Sean. His patience was limitless!
Was the tour value for money? Absolutely - I am amazed Wendy Wu can offer such a quality experience, with top class hotels, all meals, many excursions, for the price.
It was the holiday of a lifetime.
