My wife and I went on the holiday to China 6-20 Apr 26 and had a really wonderful time. Our guide Linda, really made the whole holiday extra special. Our time was well planned, well organized and well supported with all the extra local guides Linda used for the whole of the holiday. She organized extra shows and activities that gave us a real taste of her country, and the food she chose for our lunch and dinner meals gave us a broad choice of local regional dishes from all the places we visited. For the 2 weeks we spent in China Linda managed to cram in everything I had on my `bucket list`and a lot more besides. China is a vast country with lots of fascinating historic and modern sites to see. The initial cost of the holiday may seem expensive, but once you see what is included in the cost, it is worth every penny. My wife and I enjoyed this holiday so much we are now looking into visiting Japan next year (2027), thank you Wendy Wu for a really great holiday, with lots of wonderful memories.

An amazingly full schedule for 16 days. Saw China's amazing historic sites. Tour guide was excellent. Would travel with Wendy Wu again.

Wendy Wu Tours are superb.
The Wonders of China tour encompasses all major attractions and ‘must sees’ in China.
A plus is all meals are included, and entrance fees.
There are some optional excursions at very reasonable prices.
From arrival in Beijing to departure from Shanghai, we were looked after every step of the way, by our guide Sean, plus local guides.
I cannot speak highly enough of Sean. His patience was limitless!
Was the tour value for money? Absolutely - I am amazed Wendy Wu can offer such a quality experience, with top class hotels, all meals, many excursions, for the price.
It was the holiday of a lifetime.

Best tour holiday we had. There is always room for improvement. Just a couple of suggestions:
1. Before flying would suggest to let know meeting time with the tour guide at the hotel.
2. Coaches to have a facility to charge a mobile phone.
3. A separate table for vegetarians as there is a big demand for them to travel to China. Non-vegetarians do not share vegetarian dishes.

Absolutely fantastic tour, couldn’t have been better organised.

The itenary let me embraced so much of culture in China. Almost all optional excursions were outstanding. Great hotels and cruise facilities. The main reason I chose this particular trip was due to allowance of free time (2.5) at great wall of China giving me the opportunity go up to the 12th Fortress while others did what was suitable them. This option was not available with any other tour company and it was so great that all excursion levels were addressed at this monumental place.
Would have been perfect if Zhanjiaji National Park was also included but had a brilliant time. Fellow travellers in the group were fantastic too. Highly recommend this tour.
I did my first trip with Wendy Wu last year and was very impressed.

A very well organized trip, seeing all the must see sights. The rep Ken kept informed with other colleagues so timings of the visits avoided excessive queuing and had less volume of tourists. Meals were included which were all shared banquet, the restaurants chosen for location and quality of local cuisine. This gave us a chance to try many different dishes that were preordered for us and saved time as location was near our itinerary stops. Transportation was very efficient, coach, plane and bullet train.Ken looked after all the details making our holiday totally hassle free. A vast distance covered in two weeks, not a minute wasted. A very interesting and enjoyable "holiday".

We had a fantastic holiday. China is a fascinating place and the Wendy Wu tour gave us a really good mix of sights, sounds, experiences and tastes. There were so many highlights it would take too long to list them all. The national and local guides were all great - very friendly and welcoming - and China felt much less forbidding than I’d feared.

From our arrival in Beijing to our departure from Shanghai this was an excellent holiday with our guide, Betty, going above and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous time.
There were quite a few early starts - this isn't a trip if your idea of a holiday is relaxing with a good book - but there was so much to see!
In Beijing we saw Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden Palace, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall and more.
We then took a bullet train to Xian (amazing experience - totally smooth journey travelling at up to 250mph). We explored the city including the Muslim food quarter and the restored city walls and then went to the Terracotta Warriors.
The next day we took an early flight to Yichang and made our way to Maoping docks near the Three Gorges on the Yangtze river where we boarded the almost brand new Victoria Isabella. The weather was dreadful for our 4 days on the boat but the facilities and staff were excellent and we did get a few excursions.
We left the boat at Chongqing and went to the zoo where we saw pandas (a real highlight) and many other animals. A second bullet train took us to Guilin where we spent a night in the Waterfall Hotel (at 2030 every day a massive waterfall cascades down the outside of the building).
The next day, the sun came out and we took a boat trip down the beautiful River Li to Yangshuo. After a night there, we made our way back through the countryside to Guilin, seeing local people and the rice harvest.
After a second night in Guilin (a small but beautiful city) we took a flight to Shanghai, arriving in the early evening. A boat trip on the river Huangpu lets you see the Bund area with the most amazing lights display.
Our final day was spent exploring the city of Shanghai including the beautiful Yu gardens.
China is spotlessly clean. There are reasonable, free public toilets everywhere and the people are friendly (several conversation attempts via Google translate). There are security cameras and police everywhere and you are constantly asked for your passport but it never felt oppressive.

I have recently returned from a Wendy Wu Wonders of China Tour (10-24 Oct) and wish to place on record how much I enjoyed the tour. That enjoyment stemmed not only from the comprehensive Itinerary and places visited but also to the highly knowledgeable, hard working, dedicated and caring Tour Guide 'Betty' (an English name given to herself to make it easier for us to address her). She spoke excellent English and led the tour with a smile and sense of humour but always ensured the group knew exactly where to be and at what time whilst giving us detailed information about the place(s) we were visiting and their history and heritage which, of course, enabled us to more fully understand the purposes of what we saw, the origins of what we saw and so much more. I cannot speak highly enough of this lady and if I were to visit China again, I would hope that 'Betty' would be my guide again.

The meals and wide range of Chinese cuisine we experienced were also first class with all tastes catered for.

Can I also add that the information and advice provided pre-tour by Wendy Wu Tours was excellent and ensured that I was fully prepared for this tour and helped ensure my enjoyment and fulfillment whilst on this tour. Thank you.
