Fly overnight to Saigon.
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Get to grips with the horrors of guerrilla warfare at the astonishing Cu Chi Tunnels before return to Saigon this afternon. Sightseeing includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, Central post office, reunification palace and the War remnants Museum.
Travel to Ben Tre and cruise on the Mekong river to explore the Delta, the rice basket of Vietnam. Travel through palm-lined canals on wooden sampans passing stilt houses and fish farms. Later on, you'll travel to Can Tho where you'll stay overnight.
Can Tho is the largest city along the Mekong Delta and central for trade. Visit the Cai Rang floating markets and soak up its vibrant atmosphere. Observe a demonstration on how vermicelli rice noodles are made before returning to Saigon.
Travel to the beautiful hill station of Dalat, located in the cooler climate of the Central Highlands. en route you ll stop for lunch at Bao Loc and also visit a tea plantation. Dalat, known as the City of eternal spring, is surrounded by stunning forests and waterfalls. In the afternoon, why not relax with a coffee and take in picturesque views of Xuan Huong lake?
Visit the Domaine de Marie Church, the Flower Gardens and an embroidery workshop before boarding an open-air train to journey out through the fantastic scenery of Trai Mat village. End the day browsing the stalls of Dalat's busy market.
We wind our way from the highlands and along the coast to Nha Trang, Vietnam's beach capital. Take to the turquoise waters for a cruise around the bays many islands with a stop off at one to enjoy a swim in the balmy waters.
Visit the Po Nagar Cham Towers and continue on to the city of Qui Nhon.
The Son My area saw some of the most horrific crimes of the Vietnam War - the My Lai massacre. Visit the memorial placed in honour of the victims. Continue on to Hoi An.
Take a morning walking tour of charming Hoi An - a wonderfully laidback and traditional town that has managed to retain the charms of a bygone era. Visit a lovely old-style house, the Japanese Bridge, a Chinese temple and the market.
Take the scenic route to Hue over the Hai Van Pass. The epitome of Vietnams dynastic past, Hue is a dignified and scholarly city. On arrival in Hue you will explore the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang, a complex with almost 40 monuments and beautiful gardens and pools
This morning visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City before visiting the An Hien House on the outskirts of the city. This afternoon take a cruise along the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda where you will have some time to explore. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Exuding a wonderfully exotic aura, Hanoi is the perfect combination of old Asia and new. Admire the collections of the Fine Arts Museum and take a cyclo tour of the atmospheric tangle of streets that make up the Old Quarter.
Explore the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, the Stilt house, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. This afternoon is free for you to spend at your leisure before an evening performance of the famous water puppets.
Spend the day aboard a traditional junk cruising through the awe-inspiring beauty of Halong Bay. A fresh seafood meal is included during your voyage. This evening stay overnight on your cruise ship. The next day cruise through the Bay and disembark your cruise, returning to Hanoi. The remainder of your day is at leisure.
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.

UK citizens will not need a visa to enter Vietnam for a single entry stay of up to 15 days. Entry visas for Vietnam are required for stays longer than 15 days or for multiple entries into Vietnam within a 30 day period. To allow for unforeseen circumstances if your tour includes a stay of 15 days or more in Vietnam the standard visa processing service is included in your tour cost. Currently the visa exemption rule applies until 30th June 2017. Tipping is an expected element in the tourism industry today and Bhutan is no exception. We have established a tipping system whereby every passenger gives a set amount to the National Escort who will distribute the amount appropriately. On multi-country tips, this amount will be paid in stages on arrival in each country. If there is no National Escort, you will need to give your money to your Local Guides and tipping amounts for each city will be shown in your final itinerary. The amount is calculated for each tour. We will indicate the tipping amounts in your final documents for guidance.
Shopping can be a fun and entertaining component to any travel adventure. In keeping with most people’s interests whilst on holiday, your tour will include a reasonable number of opportunities to shop for local goods and souvenirs. We have included visits to establishments that not only provide an opportunity to purchase a locally produced, but you’ll witness first-hand how these local products are made, their history and how they support the economy. We are aware that people like to take home souvenirs, so we ensure the shops you visit have a reputation for quality, honesty, and authenticity.
The cost of all meals is included in your group tour cost. Breakfast is served in the hotel and usually includes western dishes. We aim to cater to the tastes of the majority of people and so the food is not too spicy or unusual in taste. Any food/diet requests MUST be specified at the time of booking and you should mention it again to the National Escort/ Local Guides when you meet them – they will do their utmost to cater for any special requests, such as vegetarian meals or food to be avoided in case of allergies.
