"We are never satisfied until you come back and travel with us again" - Wendy Wu, Founder & Chairwoman

At Wendy Wu Tours, we want to know what you think about the service you receive when you book with us and what you thought about your tour itself. It's this vital information that helps us to improve in the future.

With this in mind, we have teamed up with independent review company feefo. Once you have made a booking or returned from one of our tours, you'll receive an email from feefo asking you to rate your experience with us.

We then display these reviews right here, completely untouched by us, so you can trust them 100%.

We were humbled to receive so much positive feedback from clients affected by the onset of the Coronavirus crisis. We hope the positive experience of customers, who still managed to enjoy their tours even as the pandemic hit, shows how wonderful your experience will be once we all get travelling again.

We also have more fantastic reviews from around the globe on TripAdvisor, including many 5 star!

Chile: Top to Toe

Our Tour: Excellent
Chile is an amazing country, its beauty not known well as we were asked why we wanted to go there. Our Wendy Wu tour exceeded all our expectations. Chile has unique geography. We experienced a range of climates along with regional cuisenes and drinks carefully chosen restaurants and places for our meals.
Our journey started in Santiago, Chile's modern vibrant capital and continued through Valparaiso, San Pedro de Atacama, Puerto Varas and Puerto Natales. Each destination gave different aspect of the climate, beauty and wonder of Chile.
The Atacama was especially magical. It is a place like no other. One could feel the 'earth energy' Pachamama there.
Wendy Wu Tours crafted an exceptional itinerary, with carefully chosen hotels and restaurants. We enjoyed the company and guidance of our brilliant tour guide, local guides and drivers. They were exceptionally good.

Our Tour: Good
Overall it was very good and our tour manager Corinna outstanding. I was advised to go a day early to be in time for the opening dinner on day one but was not met at the airport and others arrived too late for the dinner to go ahead anyway. Lunches and dinners in my printed itinerary for the first two days were not provided.

The hotels and meals were very good on the whole and all the flights and transportation worked very smoothly. The exception was the catamaran which was out of service on Lake Titicaca and we went to the island and had lunch on a smaller vessel and then had a long coach journey to overnight on the catamaran which was not prepared for us in terms of food and drink and baggage handling, there was no safe way to board and no security at night. The trip on the reed boat was moved to that side of the lake.

In country tour guides varied with very good ones in Bolivia and Chile and at the Iguazu falls and Rio de Janiero but the guide in Mendoza was flippant, not fluent in English and abandoned us at the airport. The guide in Buenos Aires and the Pampas just could not stop talking.

There were days when we had breakfast, lunch and dinner which was too much and others when we just had breakfast and the meals could have been better spaced out.

The trip was full of highglights Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, blue train, Cusco, Salar de Uyuni, San Pedro De Atacama. desert, Moon Valley, Valparaiso, Maipu Valley, Buenos Aires, Pampas, Iguazu falls and Rio. We spent one day too long in Mendoza and not enough time in Rio.

I would recommend the trip but as it was the first one post the covid cancellations there were several things that could be improved and tightened up

Two out of five hotels outstanding, absolutely marvellous. One perfectly fine to our needs. One only so so and one despite the cost, shabby, dirty & completely unkempt to some degree, that was Easter Island.
If it hadn’t been for Gemma Cope I would still be stuck in the Atacama Desert. I could not have done anything without her help, she was amazing, brilliant & I owe her!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Atacama desert. Vina Vik had delicious fine food & wine, our room was spectacular too.
All the tours we did were fascinating & interestingly varied. I did like the astronomy, sky at night in the desert until the clouds came over!
However I would recommend Chile as not only was all the scenery breathtaking the people are extremely charming & helpful despite me not speaking Spanish.

Our Response

We are thrilled you enjoyed your Wendy Wu tour of Chile and hope the memories of this wonderful destination will stay with you for many years to come.

We were concerned to hear of your disappointment with the hotel on Easter Island. Gemma is away from the office this week but is planning to get in touch with you next week to discuss your feedback in more detail.

CHILE: TOP TO TOE

Service rating :

The tour 'Chile Top To Toe' was purchased through Wendy Wu and the process of arranging and purchasing the tour was good. However on the ground the tour was a set of subcontracted mini tours each with a different local guide. The service was variable. The flights and transportation was of a good standard. The hotels were also good and in excellent locations (apart from one - a late substitution in Valparaiso. The local guides were variable and this can contribute considerably to the enjoyment of the experience. The ones in Atacama and Patagonia were excellent. The one in Santiago was ok although his attitude was condescending. The one in the Lake District was poor - his timekeeping resulted in long, drawn out days missing some of the key attractions. His desire to insert his own aspects to the itinerary resulted in poor decision making.

Product :

Chile has some of the most spectacular natural assets - the Atacama desert and Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia ought to be on everyone's bucket lists. Both are well covered in this tour. The tour is generally well organised but is subject to local operators in the different locations which can make it seem a little disjointed. Some tweaks needed to the itinerary in Valparaiso and the Lake District
