Very good communication in preparing for trip, great guide, interesting places to visit on the tour

I absolutely loved my trip. It was extremely well organised and everything had been thought of. Our guide Vish was incredible. He brought genuine desire that everyone loved his country to his work and it made the trip special.

This is a review of the Wendy Wu Grand India Tour which was approximately 30 days, and undertaken in October 2025.
The tour certainly covered a huge range of amazing sights and included some wonderful experiences that would be very difficult to arrange as an individual. In fact, as an ex-travel agent I simply wouldn't attempt to book a journey of this intensity for my wife and self in India.
There was a good mixture of transport types - plane, train, coach, camel, boat, etc which made it extra interesting.
Accommodation was of a good standard ranging from extremely good - historic old forts to fairly average Hotel in Mumbai.
All meals were provided, usually as a buffet. Lunches and dinners were all options of Indian dishes, so best that you enjoy Indian food.
Probably one of the real highlights of the trip for us was our Guide "M K" who you could see was genuinely interested in making sure that the group experienced the very best of India and went out of his way to ensure that every person in the group (14 of us) was well looked after and that we gained as much knowledge of India as was possible in 4 weeks.

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide, Kumar Apoorva. It would not have been the same without him. He accompanied us through hotels, trains, airports and local areas with decisiveness and humour. His experience eased our route around local beggars, merchants, customs, tipping and health issues. We visited very memorable and beautiful sites like the Taj Mahal and Shimla and many others, giving history and background and then letting us wander ourselves to take photos and absorb the atmosphere.
As travellers, we thought the hotels were ok but would have chosen ones that were more up-market. The food was nice but we feel, was pitched for the inexperienced or unadventurous palette, so we would have liked more varied local options.
All in all, a fabulous trip through beautiful parts of India, with a lovely group of people.

Full on tour with all main sites seen. Guides were knowledgeable and very helpful.

An excellent way to visit some of the less travelled and more remote corners of India. The cruise element of the tour is exceptional offering comfort, expert guidance and a touch of glamour while cruising through the spectacular Assamese countryside. The Himalayan element was more challenging with some long drives along mountain roads but again with expert guides and drivers. Travelling in India always brings it’s challenges and this was no exception, largely due to unseasonal weather but that’s what makes for memorable experiences.

We are well traveled and found that Inspiring India was the best experience of escorted travel. The quality of accommodation, services, food and especially the people we encountered was second to none. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, personalable, friendly, but not overly familiar, going the extra mile whenever required.

This was a superbly organised holiday, which gave us a great introduction to the Northern part of India. Major pluses for us were the pacing of the tour, the generally high quality of the hotels and the fact that all our meals were included. We were delighted and impressed with the sites we visited, including temples, forts and other monuments, and enjoyed two exciting safari trips during which we saw tigers. It was also fascinating to explore the street markets of Bundi and be able to watch parades for the Hindu festival of Holi. Seeing the Taj Mahal was the experience of a lifetime.
Our guide, Jasvir, was very good - friendly, informative and considerate. He timed a number of visits to ensure that we avoided the hottest parts of the day and the biggest crowds, where possible. Our group was small (14) but this was beneficial because it meant that we got to know each other and bonded really well. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking of visiting India for the first time.

From their efficiency in dealing with the closure of Heathrow on the day of departure to my return Wendy Wu were brilliant. Good standard of hotels which ranged from modern to more traditional. Exceptional guide who adjusted the itinerary to allow us to cope with the heat and was an absolute fountain of knowledge in both Indian history and present day. Good split between traditional sights and experiences. Thoroughly recommend.

Great trip. Well organized and thoroughly enjoyable. A lot of travel but you know that when you book and it's not really a hardship. Our guide Jazmir was brilliant - knowledgeable, funny and patient. A trip well worth doing

Terrific holiday. We got caught up in the afternoon effects of the Heathrow fire but Wendy Wu staff were fantastic and managed to get us out only 1 day late. It's full on with a lot of travel but you know that when you book, hotels were great and everything was well organized. Our guide, Jazmir, was brilliant - knowledgeable, patient and funny.

Any constructive comments made about any issues good or bad that arose throughout the tour are in my experience never fully addressed - so what is the point of another review!!

This was a very “full on” holiday, 14 days of travelling to many different cities/places in India with rail journeys and some internal flights. There were a lot of very early mornings 4am, 5am and 6am. The tour guide Girish was excellent, full of information and knowledge about his country. He always looked after us excellently and organised us very well especially with the train journeys, suggesting taking a small case or large backpack and leaving our main suitcases at the hotel in Delhi (we went back there 3 times!) This made it much easier on the trains as the overhead luggage space can be limited on the very full trains.
Most of the hotels were very good apart from the last night’s one which wasn’t great and the food was very disappointing (it was the farewell dinner which was a shame)
You will see the many varied sights and cultures of India but bear in mind that it will a be very tiring holiday, but enjoyable.
