Boisterous markets are great for shopping and souvenirs, food stalls churn out an amazing variety of foods, cooked to perfection, while enclaves like Chinatown and Little India give a concentrated flavour of their respective cultures. It’s hard to miss the vestiges of British colonialism around Merdeka Square (yes, that green space was once a cricket pitch) while modern landmarks like the Petronas Towers offer a contrasting view.
