Current Situation Impacting Operations
in the Middle East

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence
Close

Flight disruption continues across the Middle East due to ongoing airspace closures and widespread cancellations.

Despite this, the majority of Wendy Wu Tours customers have successfully joined their tours via alternative routes and carriers. All our tours (with the exception of Jordan) are operating as normal.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers remains our highest priority. We are closely monitoring developments and following the latest advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to ensure we continue to operate safely and responsibly.

Some customers have unfortunately been affected by:

  • Outbound flight cancellations (unable to join their tour)
  • Inbound flight cancellations (unable to return home at the end of their tour)

We remain committed to supporting all affected customers.

Our team is contacting impacted customers in departure date order.

Policy Covering Departures from the UK and Ireland up to and including 31 March 2026

Affecting clients who are due to fly with Emirates, Etihad or Qatar

Flight Inclusive Packages – Departing the UK & Ireland

Outbound Flight Disruption (Departing the UK or Ireland)

Wendy Wu Tours are rebooking clients on alternative airlines at no additional cost.

We are currently reviewing all upcoming bookings scheduled to depart on or before 31 March 2026. Bookings are being processed in order of departure date, so please wait to hear from us shortly.

We will arrange for you to travel with an alternative airline and will send you an updated confirmation invoice with the revised flight details. There is no need to contact us at this time, as we are working through bookings in order of departure date. If you are due to travel on or before 23 March and haven’t heard from us yet, please get in touch.

Due to extremely limited airline availability at such short notice, it may not always be possible to arrange departures from local airports (such as Manchester, Newcastle, or Edinburgh). Given the limited last minute options, you may need to depart from airports with broader availability, such as London - where a wider range of non Middle Eastern carriers operate.

If no suitable alternative flights are available:

  • We will offer a free of charge amendment to travel later in 2026 or 2027.
  • Please enquire with our operations department at Operations@wendywutours.co.uk for further options.

If You Are Currently on Tour or Have Recently Finished One of Our Tours

Inbound Flight Disruption

Flight availability is currently extremely limited, making it very difficult to successfully rebook clients. We are working with our airline partners to monitor the situation and rebook customers at the earliest opportunity.

We recommend closely monitoring the airline’s website and ensuring that your direct contact details are registered with the airline.

Wendy Wu Tours and our local partners will assist with arranging extended hotel stays and rearrange airport transfers where required.

Land Only Packages

Customers who booked a Tour/Land Only package (meaning international flights have not been booked by Wendy Wu Tours) must liaise directly with their airline or travel agent regarding alternative flight options.

For customers unable to join our tour:

  • We will offer a free of charge amendment to the same tour later in 2026 or 2027.
  • Please enquire with our operations department at Operations@wendywutours.co.uk for further options.

Policy for Departures 1 April 2026 Onwards

We are continuing to process all affected bookings in order of departure date. As this situation remains fast-moving and unpredictable, our immediate priority is assisting customers scheduled to travel imminently.

All bookings within the specified dates remain subject to standard booking conditions. The circumstances are under ongoing review, and further updates will be provided as necessary.
