Fly overnight to Delhi, India’s rambunctious capital city. Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day is yours to start soaking up the local culture.
Explore Old Delhi; drive past the Red Fort, walk through Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid (India’s largest mosque) and visit the Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple. After lunch, view India Gate before visiting Gandhi Smriti and Qutub Minar, the 12th-century, handcarved, 73m-tall iron pillar.
Fly to Varanasi. This evening
take a rickshaw to the ghats of
the River Ganges to witness the
Puja ceremony of Ganga Aarti.
Take an early morning boat ride
along the River Ganges, followed
by a brief city tour of Varanasi.
Later this afternoon visit the
Buddhist sites at Sarnath.
Fly to Khajuraho. Continue your
journey to Bandhavgarh in the

Rise early to see the sun rise
over India’s most iconic sight. At
dawn, when the crowds are at
their thinnest, the Taj Mahal is

experience. Stop at a marble
inlay workshop to admire this
skillful craft. Continue on to Jaipur
visiting the ghost city of Fatehpur
Sikri enroute. Later, take the
opportunity to shop at the local
bazaar inside the walled city.
Start with a photo stop this
morning at Hawa Mahal
(Palace of the Winds) before
visiting Amber Fort. Later this
afternoon visit the City Palace,
a handicraft centre and Jantar
Mantar. Watch a traditional
dance performance while
enjoying dinner this evening.
Drive to Jodhpur. This
evening take a walking tour
to explore the local vegetable
and spice market.
This morning visit Mehrangarh
Fort, Jaswant Thada and the
museum located in the Umaid
Bhawan Palace. Take an auto
rickshaw to a local restaurant
for lunch before enjoying the
afternoon at leisure.
Drive to Udaipur, a city of lakes,
palaces and temples. Stop to
visit the Jain temple complex
of Ranakpur en route.
Visit Sahelion Ki Bari Gardens,
the Folk Museum and Mewar Art
Gallery. This afternoon explore
the magnificent City Palace which is still home
to Maharana Udai Singh’s
descendants who remain rulers
of this independent state, and
wander through the local shops.
This afternoon relax on a cruise
along Lake Pichola.
Fly from Udaipur to Delhi
where the rest of the day will
be at leisure.
Fly to the UK, arriving home the
same or following day.

A visa is required by all nationalities. A single entry visa should be arranged in advance of travel. Unlike many other tour operators, we include your entry visas in the price of our tour. We handle the entire visa process – all you need to do is fill out the form and send your passport to us. We are always on hand to help you with any questions or queries you might have when completing the form.
The cost of all meals is included in your group tour cost. Breakfast is served in the hotel and usually includes western dishes. We aim to cater to the tastes of the majority of people and so the food is not too spicy or unusual in taste. Any food/diet requests MUST be specified at the time of booking and you should mention it again to the National Escort/ Local Guides when you meet them – they will do their utmost to cater for any special requests, such as vegetarian meals or food to be avoided in case of allergies.
Tipping is an expected element in the tourism industry today and India is no exception. We have established a tipping system whereby every passenger gives a set amount to the National Escort who will distribute the amount appropriately. On multi-country tips, this amount will be paid in stages on arrival in each country. If there is no National Escort, you will need to give your money to your Local Guides and tipping amounts for each city will be shown in your final itinerary. The amount is calculated for each tour. We will indicate the tipping amounts in your final documents for guidance.
