"We are never satisfied until you come back and travel with us again" - Wendy Wu, Founder & Chairwoman

At Wendy Wu Tours, we want to know what you think about the service you receive when you book with us and what you thought about your tour itself. It's this vital information that helps us to improve in the future.

With this in mind, we have teamed up with independent review company feefo. Once you have made a booking or returned from one of our tours, you'll receive an email from feefo asking you to rate your experience with us.

We then display these reviews right here, completely untouched by us, so you can trust them 100%.

We were humbled to receive so much positive feedback from clients affected by the onset of the Coronavirus crisis. We hope the positive experience of customers, who still managed to enjoy their tours even as the pandemic hit, shows how wonderful your experience will be once we all get travelling again.

We also have more fantastic reviews from around the globe on TripAdvisor, including many 5 star!

Our Tour: Excellent
The main reason for a five star rating is the quality of the tour guide. Joan Dobbie was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and accommodating, as well as experienced and highly competent.
Other positives about this holiday were the overall itinerary, which gave us a good coverage of Scotland's cities, highlands and islands, as well as the group size (10) which helped make it comfortable.
The weather helped, but nobody can choose that!
Nearly all the hotels used were very good, but the Marriott in Inverness was poor in terms of service and quality of breakfast (typical of a large chain). The Knipoch hotel was definitely the nicest, although the Edinburgh and Glasgow ones were good too.
The evening restaurant in Inverness was OK, but it was a shame that we had three consecutive nights there when the city obviously has a far wider choice, e.g. the lunch time Mustard Seed was very good.
Lunch in Loch Lomond was really very bad and if an alternative can be found for future tours we suggest doing that.
Overall, as explained, we had an excellent time.
Best wishes,
Christine and Paul

Our Tour: Excellent
The tour was well planned and gave a good mix of experiences and things to see and do in Scotland.
The pace was about right for us and the tour guide Joan Dobbie was absolutely first class.
We were blessed with excellent weather which of course always helps, especially as a lot of the things we did were outside. Maybe different weather might have changed what we could do and might have coloured our view a bit...
The hotels were all comfortable, well-appointed and convenient. Some were more cosy or more atmospheric than others, but they all provided the opportunity to have a good night's sleep.
I do have mobility issues and use a rollator, so sometimes I chose not to leave the coach for the regular photo stops; I also did find the 1 mile walk up the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and the cobble stones in the castle grounds in Edinburgh and in Stirling a bit challenging and uncomfortable, but they didn't spoil things for me in the overall scheme of things.
My only real issue was that we ate our evening meals in Stirling at a restaurant that was about 600 yards away from the hotel. By the end of the day I really didn't want to leave the hotel in order to have our evening meal. Also, we were taken to the same hotel for each of the 3 nights, when I would have preferred the option to try somewhere else - we passed lots of establishments on the way that looked suitable. It wasn't as if the restaurant we were taken to offered a good choice of meals - at least, not for us. Thank goodness that the weather was kind otherwise it would have been miserable! In fact, for the 3rd night my husband and I passed on the meal and ate in the hotel instead, at our own additional cost, just to avoid having to out again.
But all in all, it was a great tour!

The coach driver was far to familiar and really thought he should be included in the group. He regularly drove one handed and we had to ask our guide to tell him to keep his eyes on the road instead of looking at her. We had three nights when we had to move to a another location for dinner. This was very inconvenient as it was cold and windy, especially on the first night after a long day travelling. The meal was fish and chips, I can do that at home. The Oban hotel and the venue for dinner was like Faulty towers, running out of food and extremely poor quality. Joan our guide was brilliant and the other hotels were good. I think everyone agreed that lunches were far too big, very generous but we don’t need two cooked meals a day. The scenery was beautiful and Joan worked so hard to accommodate everyone, her knowledge was amazing. I think with a few alterations this could be a really good holiday.

Our Tour: Good
I enjoyed my holiday very much but there were a couple of issues, especially with the hotel in Oban.
The Queens Hotel was not up to 4☆ standard. Dinner was served at the sister Hotel which was a shambles. The food was poorly cooked, left to go cold and ran out. Service left a lot to be desired. Considering the tour is quite expensive, I expected much more than these hotels offered.
The hotels in Edinburgh, Inverness and Hlasgow were very good yo excellent. Our guide was very professional and knowledgeable... she looked after us well.
Would I make any changes? One or two... more time needed in Portree and forget the gillie. More time in Pitlochry and forget Aviemore.

Well organised small group tour. Visited a good range of places including a few that have been on my bucket list for a while. Great local guide throughout which made the journey very easy.

Our Tour: Good
The tour guide Joan was excellent and the tour was well planned and executed. Some improvements could be made, the Queens hotel in Oban had poor quality bedrooms and the restaurant was not operating, which meant we had to walk outside to another sister hotel with a lower star rating for the evening meals, which were average in quality. Two of the lunch venues were not up to standard ,one at Newhaven near Edinburgh and the other in Mallaig. The train journey from Fort William to Mallaig is scenically superb, Wendy Wu should however consider booking its customers in first class as the second class carriages were not particularly clean.

The trip was nice because Scotland is beautiful.Too expensive for the standard of hotels we stayed in, especially for single travellers as the supplement we payed was very high. Also misleading information from Wendy Wu about some aspects of this holiday so I want be traveling with them in future.

Our Service: Excellent
Fantastic service from Lisa, our booking wasn't just the tour itself, we wanted a pre-tour stopover but not the timescale specified in the brochure, then a post-tour extension. Also we stay in Scotland so connections also required. Absolutely none of this worried Lisa and she did a wonderful job coordinating it all and in a remarkable time. All my questions were answered, she has superb knowledge and a very pleasant personality. We are really looking forward to our holiday and if everything goes as smoothly as the booking we will be in seventh heaven!
