Overall this was enjoyable holiday but not worth the price paid. It was an all inclusive holiday which included hotels, excursions, travel and food (3 meals a day).

Started off in Cambodia which was lovely. The tour guide and bus driver were great, very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Excursions such as Angkor Wat were amazing. Food was of a good standard as were the facilities we were taken to during our trips and the hotel was clean and the service was very good.

Travel in between places was mostly by coach which was comfortable enough and air conditioned. There were supposed to be more flights but for some reason only 1 internal flight was taken.

Mekong River cruise was good overall although probably not worth paying extra for the upper deck. Excursions and local tour guide were very good.

Vietnam was OK although the tour guide wasn't as attentive, helpful and didn't keep the group together on tours and seemed to care more about moving on when other groups were waiting for each point of interest rather then providing our group with a decent amount of info.
Hotels in Vietnam were satisfactory on the whole except for Rice Fields which was very poor to say the least. Dirty, damp, bug ridden, had no hot water and not well maintained. Food and service was awful and certainly not the minimum 4 star accommodation we'd paid for. I had complained immediately to Wendy Wu but heard nothing until I followed it up twice when I returned home. We received a credit towards our next holiday which was poor compensation or rather no compensation unless we take another holiday with WW! I was incorrectly lead to believe Wendy Wu had very good customer service.

Food provided throughout the holiday was of a good quality but lunch and dinners were very samey and got very boring. There was little opportunity to choose from a menu other than on 1 occasion and thankfully on the last day when only breakfast was included.

There was limited free time, so shopping had to be squeezed in. Cambodia was very good value for money in comparison to Vietnam who add a 'tourist' tax on everything and most goods are also imported from China.

The tour guides were outstanding both in Cambodia and Vietnam, Lot and Twon were very knowledgeable and kind, considerate and lovely individuals. The trip itself was flawless from beginning to end. I will definitely book with Wendy Wu again. X

South Korea: We missed the opportunity to stop and look at things that interested us, as the group was constantly moving on at quite a pace. A nice variety of sites were visited. Also, didn't get to try the world-famous Korean Fried Chicken.
Japan: The pace on this leg was more relaxed. We also had more evening meals at the hotel that gave a greater variety of cuisines. Our guide navigated the tour group through the train stations to get on & off the bullet trains brilliantly.
We really enjoyed the mild temperatures of Autumn and the depth of colour in the trees as the leaves changed with the season.

I absolutely loved my trip. It was extremely well organised and everything had been thought of. Our guide Vish was incredible. He brought genuine desire that everyone loved his country to his work and it made the trip special.

Tour very well organised. Guides very friendly and knowledgeable. High standard of accommodation. Very nice restaurants. Food mostly nice.. would have been more interesting to have had more variety of foods and more every day food to try like pho and Banh Mi. Always too much food served for lunches. Comfortable transport.
One too many temples seen.
Would like to have seen a water puppet show in Hanoi.
The Apopo Rats were very interesting….we visited by ourselves but I think this should included in the tour.

This is a review of the Wendy Wu Grand India Tour which was approximately 30 days, and undertaken in October 2025.
The tour certainly covered a huge range of amazing sights and included some wonderful experiences that would be very difficult to arrange as an individual. In fact, as an ex-travel agent I simply wouldn't attempt to book a journey of this intensity for my wife and self in India.
There was a good mixture of transport types - plane, train, coach, camel, boat, etc which made it extra interesting.
Accommodation was of a good standard ranging from extremely good - historic old forts to fairly average Hotel in Mumbai.
All meals were provided, usually as a buffet. Lunches and dinners were all options of Indian dishes, so best that you enjoy Indian food.
Probably one of the real highlights of the trip for us was our Guide "M K" who you could see was genuinely interested in making sure that the group experienced the very best of India and went out of his way to ensure that every person in the group (14 of us) was well looked after and that we gained as much knowledge of India as was possible in 4 weeks.

a great experience with a lot packed in over seven days. the guides we had on the tour were wonderful.

From start to finish the arrangements were impeccable. The guides were all attentive and you got great service. Accommodation and food was excellent too.

The guides were of the highest standard with their knowledge and were only too pleased to give us the full history of the sights we visited.

I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who is thinking of visiting Cambodia and Vietnam. It is good value as all meals and porterage tips are included as well as accommodation and excursions.

Superb organisation ,excellent hotels and delicious food in these beautiful and very interesting countries.The group and the tour guides made my holiday a very happy and fun time.
Travel arrangements went well ,only a bit tricky in transfer from Hanoi ,Ho Chi Minh City and Heathrow on my own after Hanoi.Vietnamese people were a great help and messages from people in my group to help me.

I love the fact that everything is included, the travel, all our food, tickets into places.
Taken to local restaurants and the food was amazing, every meal I had was delicious. I have coeliac disease and was very anxious that I would be ill as restaurants would not understand but the guide was on top of it making sure at every meal was gluten free.
Very well organised. Local guides where ever we went. Every thing ran smoothly.
There is a lot of travelling. The train journeys were fun and enjoyed with fashion show, food, band and dancing. Loved my time in Peru.
