Fly overnight to Bangkok.
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day to explore this amazing city.
Sightseeing includes a visit to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, with its colourful temples and golden stupas. You'll also enjoy a ride in a long tail boat along the Chao Phraya River to Pak Klong Talaat Flower Market followed by a stroll through Chinatown.
Visit the Damneon Saduak floating Market and the Railway Track Market. Later, board the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Arrive in Chiang Mai and visit Wat Doi Suthep. In the evening, enjoy a performance of ancient dances and songs from northern Thailand and visit the colourful night market.
Travel to a small village, home to the H'mong Hill Tribes where you'll stay overnight and enjoy a BBQ dinner and a cultural show.
Visit the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp and experience an elephant ride along with gentle bamboo river rafting along the Mae Ping River. Transfer to Thaton and board a long tail boat on the Mae Kok River to Baan Pha Tai, where you'll continue by road to Chiang Rai.
Today take a peek into some of the hidden artistic gems of Chiang Rai with a visit to Wat Rong Kun, also known as the White Temple. After lunch visit a tea plantation on Doi Mae Salong to taste the local tea.
Cross the border at Huay Xai into Laos and cruise to Pakbeng, visiting some local Minority Villages en route.
Travel downstream on the Mekong River visiting Ban Khok Ek, a traditional Laotian village. After lunch, you'll learn about the process of making rice alcohol and visit the Pak Ou Caves before continuing to Luang Prabang.
Today take a full day city tour of Luang Prabang visiting Wat Xiengthong, Wat Visoun, Ban Xangkhong craft village and time to talk with the local monks.
Arise early to watch a Takbat Alms Giving Ceremony before climbing Phousi hill for breath taking views over the city. Visit the National Museum. You will then travel to the Kuang Si Waterfalls and visit an H'mong Village. Return to Luang Prabang stopping at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre along the way.
Fly to Vientiane. The rest of the day is free to explore independently.
This morning visit Talaat Sao - Vientiane’s Morning Market. Then continue to Wat Sisaket, the oldest original temple in Vientiane, Wat Phra Keo, That Luang Stupa and Patuxai Victory Monument. Head out of town to visit one of Laos’ slightly stranger attractions - Xieng Khuan Buddha Park. En route take a look at the impressive Friendship Bridge which spans the Mekong River. Evening enjoy dinner with some traditional Laos music and dance
Enjoy a free morning in Vientiane, before catching an overnight flight to the UK via Bangkok.
Arrive back in the UK.

A visa is not required for visitors to Thailand.
A visa is required for entry into Laos. The cost of a Laos visa is not included as there is no Laos consulate in the UK. However, visas are very easy to obtain upon arrival in Laos and will cost $35, you will need to bring passport photo for the visa. Your guide will assist you with this process.

Tipping is an expected element in the tourism industry today and Thailand is no exception. We have established a tipping system whereby every passenger gives a set amount to the National Escort who will distribute the amount appropriately. On multi-country tips, this amount will be paid in stages on arrival in each country. If there is no National Escort, you will need to give your money to your Local Guides and tipping amounts for each city will be shown in your final itinerary. The amount is calculated for each tour. We will indicate the tipping amounts in your final documents for guidance.
Shopping can be a fun and entertaining component to any travel adventure. In keeping with most people’s interests whilst on holiday, your tour will include a reasonable number of opportunities to shop for local goods and souvenirs. We have included visits to establishments that not only provide an opportunity to purchase a locally produced, but you’ll witness first-hand how these local products are made, their history and how they support the economy. We are aware that people like to take home souvenirs, so we ensure the shops you visit have a reputation for quality, honesty, and authenticity.
The cost of all meals is included in your group tour cost. Breakfast is served in the hotel and usually includes western dishes. We aim to cater to the tastes of the majority of people and so the food is not too spicy or unusual in taste. Any food/diet requests MUST be specified at the time of booking and you should mention it again to the National Escort/ Local Guides when you meet them – they will do their utmost to cater for any special requests, such as vegetarian meals or food to be avoided in case of allergies.
