Fly overnight to Saigon.
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Get to grips with the horrors of guerrilla warfare at the astonishing Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon. Experience Vietnam's colonial past at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Also visit the Reunification Palace and the chilling War Remnants Museum.
Journey to Ben tre to take a cruise on the Mekong River. Paddle through the maze of palm-lined canals and get a glimpse of daily life on the Mekong Delta. Make a stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda en route back to Saigon.
Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An. This afternoon take a walking tour of charming Hoi An - wonderfully laid back and a willfully traditional place, whose streets are a delight to wander. Visit an old merchants house, the elaborate Japanese Bridge and a bustling market.
Drive out into the countryside to Tra Que, a small farming community that supplies many hotels and restaurants in the area with vegetables and herbs. Here you can enjoy the lush green countryside and stroll through the gardens to see the farmers at work. This afternoon can be spent on the nearby Cua Dai beach or with a free afternoon back in Hoi An.
Leave Hoi An for Hue via a scenic route over the Hai Van Pass. The epitome of Vietnams dynastic past, Hue is a dignified city. Visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City before exploring the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang; this complex comprises of almost 40 monuments and is surrounded by gardens and pools. Continue by road to Thien Mu Pagoda and take a cruise on the Perfume River before returning to your hotel in Hue.

Sightseeing today includes a wander through the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where you will pass Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum and visit the Stilt House set in the gardens of the Presidential Palace. Also visit One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Temple of Literature. End the days exploration with a walk through the Old Quarter and enjoy a traditional water puppet show.
Spend the day aboard a traditional junk cruising amongst the karst peaks on the tranquil green waters of Halong Bay. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a vision of awe-inspiring beauty, it is not hard to see why it is one of Vietnam's most popular destinations. A fresh seafood meal is included during your voyage. Stay overnight. The next day enjoy a Halong Bay sunrise and visit the Sung Sot Cave, return to Hanoi.
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.

UK citizens will not need a visa to enter Vietnam for a single entry stay of up to 15 days. Entry visas for Vietnam are required for stays longer than 15 days or for multiple entries into Vietnam within a 30 day period. To allow for unforeseen circumstances if your tour includes a stay of 15 days or more in Vietnam the standard visa processing service is included in your tour cost. Currently the visa exemption rule applies until 30th June 2017. Tipping is an expected element in the tourism industry today and Bhutan is no exception. We have established a tipping system whereby every passenger gives a set amount to the National Escort who will distribute the amount appropriately. On multi-country tips, this amount will be paid in stages on arrival in each country. If there is no National Escort, you will need to give your money to your Local Guides and tipping amounts for each city will be shown in your final itinerary. The amount is calculated for each tour. We will indicate the tipping amounts in your final documents for guidance.
Shopping can be a fun and entertaining component to any travel adventure. In keeping with most people’s interests whilst on holiday, your tour will include a reasonable number of opportunities to shop for local goods and souvenirs. We have included visits to establishments that not only provide an opportunity to purchase a locally produced, but you’ll witness first-hand how these local products are made, their history and how they support the economy. We are aware that people like to take home souvenirs, so we ensure the shops you visit have a reputation for quality, honesty, and authenticity.
The cost of all meals is included in your group tour cost. Breakfast is served in the hotel and usually includes western dishes. We aim to cater to the tastes of the majority of people and so the food is not too spicy or unusual in taste. Any food/diet requests MUST be specified at the time of booking and you should mention it again to the National Escort/ Local Guides when you meet them – they will do their utmost to cater for any special requests, such as vegetarian meals or food to be avoided in case of allergies.
