Discover the otherworldly landscapes of Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni, exploring endless stretches of salt flats and pink-hued lagoons full of flamingos all under the watchful eye of the peaks of the snow-capped Andes.
Upon arrival at La Paz airport, you will be met and transferred to the city. This afternoon begin your tour at the Witch's Market before continuing on to the Museum of Ethnography and Folklore, the Cathedral, and riding on South America’s longest cable car. Later, visit the Valley of the Moon, a mysterious rock formation to the south of the city created by wind and water erosion of the area's mountains.
Take an early morning flight to Uyuni and start your adventure at the nearby volcanic lakes. This mineral rich region is home to several differently coloured volcanic lagoons of intense greens, light blues and deep reds. This afternoon check into the unique salt hotel where you will stay for the night.
Rise early this morning to journey to the breath-taking Salar de Uyuni. View the Ojos de Agua, the bubbling pools that form when the underground salt rivers rise to the surface, and the Isla Incahuasi, a fish shaped island containing ancient fossils and an array of giant cacti. Finish at Tunupa Volcano and visit the fascinating Mummies museum before enjoying the sunset over the Salt Flats.
Transfer to the airport this morning for your onward flight to La Paz.
