    Upon your arrival in Colombo, you will be greeted by your National Escort from Wendy Wu Tours and transferred to Kotugoda where you will spend the night. Rest of the day is at leisure.

    Travel to Anuradhapura B
    Day 3: Travel to Anuradhapura

    Travel to Anuradhapura the ancient capital and first kingdom of Sri Lanka. Delve into the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, where amongst its greatest treasures you’ll find a breathtaking 13-meter-tall statue of Lord Buddha, skilfully carved from solid granite. As you wander through this hallowed ground, you'll encounter numerous other significant shrines and monuments that contribute to Anuradhapura's prestigious status as the inaugural kingdom of Sri Lanka.

    Discover Wilpattu and Nachchaduwa B
    Day 4: Discover Wilpattu and Nachchaduwa

    Today you explore Wilpattu, with its diverse ecosystem, a haven for a wide array of wildlife and bird species. Among the many fascinating creatures are spotted deer, sambhur, barking deer, wild boar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, mongoose, crocodile, and the splendid peacocks. However, the true stars of the park are the elusive leopards and magnificent wild elephants. In the evening experience sunset at Nachchaduwa Lake.

    Minneriya National Park B
    Day 5: Minneriya National Park

    Head to Sigiriya where you will have time to relax until your afternoon visit to Minneriya National Park. While the elephants are the highlight of the park, you may also encounter some of the numerous species of birds, amphibians, reptile & fish species as well as plenty of beautiful butterflies. The park is also home to rare bamboo trees, unique to Minneriya.

    Day 6: Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa

    An early start as you visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, standing tall as a UNESCO World Heritage site and worthy of its moniker ‘Fortress in the Sky’. Spend the day relaxing before you embark on your evening adventure - the Loris Night Trail. This thrilling guided walk takes you on a nocturnal quest in search of the elusive grey slender loris, a captivating primate hidden amidst the scrublands.

    Day 7: Dambulla and Kandy

    Enroute to Kandy you visit Dambulla Cave Temple, part of Sri Lanka’s Golden Triangle. The cave temples are home to numerous religious and cultural paintings and sculptures. Your evening is spent visiting the Temple of The Tooth Relic where you’ll find the palm-leaf transcripts. Conclude the day with an amazing cultural dance show.

    After breakfast enjoy a tour of the tea factory, an establishment that produces an impressive 16,000 kgs of tea daily. Learn about the intricate tea production process and later have lunch at a waterfall. The journey takes you through picturesque tea estates to Fairlawn Falls, where on arrival, you'll enjoy a pleasant walk alongside the cascading waterfall.

    This morning you will have a birdwatching experience at Camellia Hills. The lush garden is a haven for birdlife, with over 20 different species making it their home. Among the unique endemic birds, you may spot are the yellow fronted barbet, Ceylon scimitar babbler, and Sri Lankan hanging parakeet. Venture further onto the trails which are hotspots for resident, endemic and migratory birds.

    Your journey continues as you head to Yala, with a special stop at the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home along the way. This facility plays a vital role in caring for injured elephants from various regions in Sri Lanka, serving as a halfway house for orphaned elephants, providing them with care and rehabilitation.

    Early morning wildlife jeep safari in Yala National Park, known for its rare leopards, but also home to elephants, bears, wild boars and various bird species.
