Travel to Beijing and stroll through Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City, visit the Temple of Heaven and see the exquisite Summer Palace before flying to the former imperial capital of Xian. Whilst in Xian, visit the Terracotta Warriors followed by a visit to the ancient city wall and a stroll through the Muslim Quarter.

This morning is dedicated to China's most iconic sight - the Great Wall. Taking a walk on this incredible structure is the best way to appreciate both the wall itself and the stunning scenery that it crosses. This afternoon visit the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way (B,L).
Start today's explorations with a visit to China's most renowned Buddhist Temple outside of Tibet, the Lama Temple. Later, soak up the harmonious ambience of the Temple of Heaven, an orderly oasis in a bustling urban landscape. (B,L)
Enjoy some time at leisure in Beijing before your flight to the illustrious and age-old city of Xian. (B)
Spend the morning visiting the enigmatic ranks of the life-like warriors and horses of the Terracotta Army, standing in their original formations at the exact location they were excavated. Later, take a stroll on the 14th century city wall that enclose Xian's old town and wander through the lively Muslim Quarter to explore the Islamic food markets. This evening enjoy a performance of Tang Dynasty dancing. (B,L)
